Less is More Week 88

This week’s theme is the colour silver … doesn’t matter what …paper, ink, etc etc, as long as there’s a touch of silver.  I don’t do a lot with silver at all … I actually can’t remember when I last used it … so it was a good challenge to come up with something for LIM.  After a long (and lovely) search through my stash, I found a smidgy bit of silver mirror card (and a whole load of other stuff I’ve not seen for a while!) so I used that and played with a Christmas theme, finally settling on this stylised Christmas tree with my ‘touch’ of silver being the star.  I’m not entirely happy with it as it seems to be missing something, but on the basis that the deadline for submitting it is looming, I thought it’d better be the one!

I’ve also been a bit more challenged this week as I had a contre-temps with a circular saw on Monday while cutting wood (for windows), so having a mangled finger has limited my dexterity a bit for cardmaking and for the renovation.  It’s surprising though how adaptable you can become and the damage is mending well … back as good as new in no time I hope!

Anyway, here’s the (very short) recipe for my card:

Base card:  docrafts, teal pearlised paper:  HOTP, mirror card:  stash, tools:  Circut (Accent Essentials Cartridge), adhesive:  Zig two way pen, stamp:  Penny Black, ink:  Memento

Hope your cardmaking’s been inspired this week … thanks for dropping by … Anita

Later edit:  Oh well, I think I’ve missed the deadline for LIM as I couldn’t do a link … I think the time given for closing must’ve changed, although it’s listed as 22.00hrs (UK time).  Still, as I wasn’t that happy with my offering, p’raps that’s a good thing!!  I’ll do it a bit earlier next week 🙂

Oh my goodness , look at the” joy” at the bottom of your tree. Such a great idea and it looks so beautiful. Great way to get in a touch of silver, love the star too. Ouch! I hope your finger heals quickly sounds scary to me.

Thanks so much for taking the time to comment, I really appreciate it!
