CAS-ual Fridays CFC74

Whilst blog wandering over the last couple of weeks via LIM and CASology entries, I noticed that rather a lot of people also enter the CAS-ual Fridays challenge, (clean and simple) so I thought I’d give it a go too … thank you to those very talented cardmakers who pointed me in the right direction 🙂 (too many to name!).  I’ve put the link on my sidebar, just in case there’s anyone who hasn’t visited this wonderful blog, so you can have a look or a go if you feel the creative urge.

This week’s challenge is to create a project using a heart.  I have a really sweet stamp of a tiny chick holding a balloon, and I had a play to see what I could come up with.  The result was just too similar in technique to a clean and simple card I did a couple of weeks ago for LIM, and I wanted to do something different. Instead I tried using different coloured cardstock and die cutting to see if I could make them clean and simple too.

I came up with a cricut die cut sentiment underlined with different coloured hearts … and chose the colours based on the dotty card used for the sentiment and border.  I wouldn’t usually combine pastel-y aqua with such a strong green/pinks, but it looked great on the cardstock and I’ve learned something new about colour combining doing it (yay!).

Here’s what I used:  Cardstock:  Fancypants, My Little Shoebox, ARS Paper Layerz, Bazzill Basics,  Crafter’s Companion, Tools:  Cricut, Lyrical Letters Cartridge, Adhesive:  Zig, Scotch ATG

Have a creative week … thanks for visiting … Anita
