CR84FN Color Challenge 65

I don’t get to do a great deal of playing during the week, but I came across this lovely colour challenge whilst blog browsing over the weekend, and was so taken with it and with yet more creative and talented people in the design team, I thought I’d have a go!  Guess what … after a few weeks of getting into CAS cards, I found it a challenge to come up with something a little less minimalist!  I’m obviously not spending enough of my time at this (yet) to be able to switch quickly between different styles 🙂

So, here’s my card for the CR84FN65 Color Challenge (the link is on my sidebar), using light pink, tan and cream,  I used a Craftwork Cards die cut for the main image, coloured with promarkers and double matted.  I mixed in a sprinkling of extra interest with the scalloped edging top and bottom and added dimension with the embossing, pleated paper ribbon and foam dots to pop the image up.  In the photo the colours look a bit light, but the card stock really is cream and the matting is tan!

Here’s what I used:  Image/Greeting:  Craftwork Cards, Cardstock/Papers:  Docrafts, Stash, Colours:  Promarkers, Ink:  Memento, Tools:  Fiskars Border Punch, Cuttlebug, Daisy Embossing Folder, Adhesive:  Stick It, Scotch ATG.

I’ve just had one of the ‘oh’ moments … I noticed that the pj’s I’m in (it’s late and I’m cardmaking rather than sleeping!!) are in the same colours as this challenge … is that what’s called kismet??   Just time to do my link before I get to bed so …

Good night to you all … bonne nuit a tous … thanks for popping in … Anita

    Hi Anita,

Beautiful card. Very well done in your pjs!!

To answer your questions, I don’t know that much about WordPress; it does handle “followers” differently than Blogger. Put I do see that your “follow” link is up on your site on the side bar with a space for your readers to put their email addresses, after which there will be a mail in their inbox every time you publish a post. I entered mine and so I am now successfully subscribed to your blog.

You did not show up on my blog as a follower, however, so yes, you do need to do that directly from my site (or any other Blogger site you wish to follow). When you are on my website, on the right you will see a “join this site” bar above the pictures of my followers. Click on that and you will get a pop-up screen, click again on “follow this blog” on that screen and in a couple of seconds, another screen will pop up that says “done.”

If you’d like to email me directly, please feel free: darnell.knauss@gmail.com.

    Happy days!
    Darnell
