I’m playing along with the colour challenge at CR84FN again this week, where the colours this time are grey, tan and cream … there are some wonderful examples done by the design team on the blog, and I particularly like Deborah’s card, which has such dramatic impact. Yes, I know, I did say the other day that after using monochromes/neutrals for the last few cards, I needed some colour, but I did enjoy doing something rather gentle and girly with these shades. It’s unashamedly similar in style/colour to my LIM card in the last post, but hey, the next two are in progress, and they’ve definitely got colour!
So, using my gentle, girly theme, I used a very simple flower stamp, coloured using the three neutrals … ok, they’re not traditional flower colours at all and I did wonder about it beforehand, but I was being creative! The rest of the design arrived on it’s own really … I added a bit of glitz with stickles on the stamens … that led me to some glitter embossed vellum I’ve had for a while that I used over the cream base … and then that took me on to the organza ribbon with a glisteny sheen to it, that I layered over the image so I could add the rub on greeting as the final touch. Voila!

I’m off to play with some colours now … many thanks for coming by, and especially so if you’ve left a comment … it’s a joy to read them, thank you! Anita
