CASology #22 (Sparkle)

CASology 22 Dandlion Clock

Some words of appreciation to start with today … to Jen for last week’s HM (I know I said it on an earlier post but I wanted to make sure it got back to you!), to everyone who dropped by to have a look at my ‘Time’ card and have a meander around, and particularly to those who left comments of congrats and encouragement … it’s such a delight to be part of your world!   Thank you 🙂

The CASology challenge for this week is ‘Sparkle’, which conjures up all kinds of Christmassy images of snow, tinsel, lights, glitter and a whole host of other yummy seasonal delights … so I went for something different!  I’ve not done a monochrome card for a while and I quite liked the idea of trying to make something sparkle when it’s black on white 🙂  Also, something (or someone) that sparkles often takes our breath away (it’s on the quote) … and it has turned out to be very CAS!

I printed out the sentiment on the computer then stamped, cut out and popped up the image, and stickled the dandlion clock and the flying seeds.  The sparkle isn’t very clear on the photo above, so here’s a closer view that shows it marginally better … although it is very sparkly in real life!  One day, I’ll have time to learn how to take better photo’s!!

CASology 22 Dandlion Clock Detail

Here’s what I used:  Cardstock: Crafter’s Companion,  Stamp: Personal Impressions,  Ink: Hobbycraft,  Sentiment: Century Gothic Font.

I can feel a blogtrip to CASology coming on, all those lovely entries are so inspiring!  Thanks so much for coming by … Anita 🙂

So pretty! Love the fussy cut – I would probably have just stamped it flat on the panel, but this really adds to the sparkle effect by making it stand out. I also like how you designed your sentiment ‘s shape and the use of the very simple font. So glad you joined us again this week at CASology!

Breathtakingly elegant, clean and simple! This card needs nothing more! The perfect amount of sparkle to make it dance & shine without stealing the limelight from that fabulous quote! Simply beautiful 🙂

I was thrilled to give you the HM last week for your gorgeous time card, Anita! 🙂 today’s is another beauty and I’m loving that you went for a non-Christmas design. The way you cut out and popped up the dandelion is perfect. Thanks for playing along with CASology this week!

A really lovely card a great example of CAS. Love you dandelion and great sentiment. Popping up the dandelion add to the card without deminishing the CAS look
