CAS-ual Fridays CFC81 (Knots)

CFC81          cfc81

A quick post during this sunny lunchtime for CAS-ual Fridays, where the theme this week is to feature a knot or knots.  There are some fantastic examples from the Design Team on show, and there’s still time (just about!) to enter,  so try popping over for some wonderful inspiration!

I know loads of people have already finished their Christmas cards and have moved on … I haven’t yet, so, here’s another one!  I really enjoyed playing with snippets of ribbon and getting the patterns tied (!) in with the colours.  I tried it on a white background and whilst it was pretty enough, the kraft I used in the end adds a certain something I think … maybe it’s the very light diagonal lines that reflect the shape of the tree … maybe … perhaps?  I used pearls to make the ‘star’ and inked the edges of the card with white, just to soften them a little.  Voila!

Ingredients:  Cardstock: Docrafts, Card Craft UK,  Ribbons:  Local Haberdasher,  Pearls: Stash

That’s it for now … I’ll be having a meander through the blogosphere later to see all the other creative delights everyone’s come up with.  In the meantime, though, thanks so much for coming by … Anita 🙂

Love it! Your ‘knots’ are perfectly tied! Sweet combination of color, texture, and pattern.

Gotta ask – are the ribbons from sets because they seem to match perfectly (plain sheer, sheer w/polka dots, twill).

Great call on the kraft – gives it almost a whimsical feel. Sweet card Anita

Oh this is a good one. I’d say you’re going to give Geri’s French knots a run for their money. It’s going to be close! lol!

Thanks so much for taking the time to comment, I really appreciate it!
