CASology #23 (Gift) Again & Play Date Café #161

CASology23a & PDC161a

The cue card (Gift) at CASology this week is a really fabulous one, which is why I did a second card … this time combined with the striking colours at Play Date Café.  They’re not colours I would usually put together so it was good to be stretched a bit to come up with something I liked!

The gifts here are die cuts with ‘ribbons and bows’, topped with liquid pearls and mounted either flat (the tall one) or on different depths of foam dots (square ones).  The panel is embossed with swiss dots and tied with bakers’ twine.  For those of you who have meandered around my blog before, you may well be thinking ‘is this the only embossing folder this girl has?’ as it seems to make so many appearances.  Well, not quite … and I did try divine swirls (to go with the bows) but the scale just wasn’t right … the swiss dots went with the wrapping paper!

Ingredients:  Cardstock: Crafter’s Companion,  Embossing: Cricut, Swiss Dots Folder,  Die Cuts: Cricut, Stretch Your Imagination Cartridge,  Bakers Twine: Stash.

That’s it for tonight, except to say that I add my thoughts and prayers to those of so many others, for those touched by the dreadful events at Sandy Nook School in the USA.

Thanks so much for your visit … Anita 🙂

Phew – I thought they were Cameo Silhouette cuts and that you had succumbed and gone to the dark side. (Still trying to justify keeping my Cricut which I hardly ever use!) I love the die cuts and the pearls! Another fantastic ‘gift’ card for CASology, Anita – thanks for playing along!

Beautifully bright and clean and simple! Swiss dots work with everything – really! It is one of my most used folders as well. I think the uniform pattern of the dots keeps a card looking organized and tidy! Perfect color choices for the PDC challenge. I’m really enjoying the various non-tradtional color combos that seem to be appearing everywhere.
