One Layer Wednesday #121 (Snowy Day) Again

This is the second idea I had for Susan’s One Layer Wednesday at Simplicity … this time I answered Susan’s question (sort of) … what do you like to do on a snowy day.  Remember the bit in ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ (James Stewart, Donna Reed, 1946) when George has been rescued by Clarence and he’s running down the Main Street in Bedford Falls and sliding along the snow (cause he’s so happy!) … here’s my interpretation!  You have seen ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ haven’t you?  I’ve seen it lots just the once!  I took the jolly colours for the scarves from the Cake Wrecks Sweet Sundays pictures Susan highlighted.

         

This little robin (snow sliding and spraying flakes of snow and ice behind him of course!) came as a freebie stamp sometime in the dim and distant past and this is the first time I’ve used it.  I stamped it a lot, watercoloured the fun loving flock (is that the collective noun for a group of robins?) and gave them each a different coloured scarf, as inspired by the stockings on the cake.  There’s a hint of icy blue under their feet for the snow and lots of snowy white space!
