At Casual Fridays this week, the theme is ‘Round of Applause’ … a CAS card that celebrates an accomplishment and features at least one circle. Also, it’s sneak peek week for the new release of Casual Fridays Stamps, so from Monday it’s worth a wander over there to drool over all that deliciousness … not only that, there are prizes to be had too! I’m also playing with a new to me monthly challenge at Create:Cards, where there’s a colour theme of Chartreuse, Aqua and Light Grey, and where there’s also a prize … Paper Smooches goodies … yum. It runs till 14 January, so there’s still a little time to enter!
Co-incidentally, my card is based around a Paper Smooches image and sentiment … a digital one available to download from the blog here (how spooky is that?). I die cut three concentric circles, coloured them, and mounted them as a frame, then coloured the stars and the middles of open letters in the sentiment (I used predominently aqua but for some reason in the photo it shows up less well on these than it does on the frame). Finally, I added a gemstone on one star and rounded a corner. So, this card is to give three rounds of applause to a three star performer!
I’ll be having some more creative time this afternoon although probably not posting … the computer has been promised elsewhere! Hope you’re having a creative Sunday … thanks so much for popping in … Anita 🙂
