Muse #1

Today I’m playing with a new and different challenge, created by the amazingly talented Jackie Rockwell and supported by a super talented Design Team, it’s called Muse Card Club.  It’s different from others because of these simple rules:

  • Use what you have in your stash to make your card
  • Explain your interpretation of the Muse inspiration card in your post and link to Muse
  • Provide supportive comments to at least three of your fellow members’ submissions
  • Vote for one of your fellow members’ submissions that you find inspiring

The first wonderful inspiration card has been created by Guest Designer Amy Kolling

I particularly love the fresh colours on Amy’s flower, so I focused on them for my card …

               Muse1          Muse1 Close-up

I made the flower first, die cutting different sized scallopped rings from white card, from 4.5cm to 1cm, in 0.5cm increments.  These were then coloured with Promarkers and built up in layers, onto a circular base.  On the base card, I added a broad border with a semi circle cut out, fitted the flower head into it and stamped a sentiment at the bottom.   The close up shows the texture on the flower … lovely to touch!

Now I’m looking forward to having a happy time browsing round the other entries … thanks so much for coming by, I really appreciate your visit … Anita 🙂

Supplies:  Cardstock: Crafter’s Companion,  DP: Stash,  Die Cuts: Cricut Accent Essentials Cartridge,  Colours: Promarkers,  Sentiment:  Kaisercraft,  Ink: Stazon

Hi Anita! Wow, what a FAB-ulous flower! I am so impressed at how you lined up the petals in each layer. It gives a sort of Spirograph effect, like from when I was a kid. Great attention to detail!

Thanks so much for taking the time to comment, I really appreciate it!
