CASology #28 (Drink)

‘Drink’ is the cue card this week at CASology … perfect for warming winter mugs of something delicious … hot chocolate, frothy coffee, steaming tea, mulled wine … and I didn’t use any of those ideas!  Instead I went for nature …

                    CASology28

It was all done with die cuts that were coloured with Promarkers and layered up with different depths of foam dots … it looks very much more vibrant IRL and the colours and detail are more distinct, particularly on the humming bird … here’s a close up that shows it a little better …

CASology28 Close-up

With hindsight (which is of course twenty-twenty!) pr’haps I should’ve used a ‘flat’ cardbase for the photo rather than the pearl one that’s reflecting the light away from the other elements … however, the pearl looks so much better next to me here than the flat one did … it was a bit … um … flat!

I’m off to see what gorgeousness everyone else has created … thanks so much for popping in … Anita 🙂

Supplies:  Cardstock: Southfield, Crafter’s Companion,  Die Cuts: Cricut Lyrical Letters & Jubilee Cartridges,  Colours: Promarkers,  Sentiment: Kaisercraft,  Ink: Stazon

Anita – Oh, (swoon) I am in LOVE with this card! You are humming with talent and creativitly. This card showcases it so nicely! The colors ..the only words to describe them – is exquisite!

This daydream of a card is one I will think of all day because of it’s sweetness.
I know the shimmer may not photograph the way you like, but it really add’s to the ‘dreamy’ effect for me. Sheesh, I really am gushing for this card. 🙂

Thanks so much for poppin’ over to my blog and the shout out! So sweet of you.
    Have a wonderful day Anita!

I so love being surprised at the different takes on the cue words, and this is certainly one of those occasions … very clever, Anita! Great design to your card. And, I also like the scoring around the margins to set it off vs. another piece of paper.
