One Layer Wednesday #124 (Doodled Up), CAS(E) This Sketch #12, Play Date Cafe #166 (Black, White, Emerald), CAS-ual Fridays #87 (Make Your Mark)

I’ve been inspired this week to look for ways of combining challenges (thanks Shirley!) and after days and days a little time came up with a four way combo …One Layer Wednesday with doodling, where Karen at Snippets is the host, CAS(E) this Sketch where there’s a fabulous sketch by Lisa,  Play Date Cafe, where the colours are black, white and just a splash of emerald and finally, CAS-ual Fridays where we’ve to use markers (and a little can go a looong way!) …

OLW124, CTS12, PDC166, CFC87

So, I masked off and used a water colour marker to sponge the green panel, stamped the sentiment and tree, and then masked off and doodled the side panel to reflect the curvy branches from the tree.  Finally, I added a smidge of Promarker in green to the tree and to the doodled border (IRL it’s a bright green … .yet even with a daylight lamp it looks grey-green in the photo .. ).

Looking forward to visiting everywhere later … hope you’re having a simply splendid week … thanks so much for coming by … Anita 🙂

Supplies:  Cardstock: Crafter’s Companion,  Markers:  Marvy Le Plume, Promarkers,  Stamps:  Imaginisce (Image), Woodware (Sentiment),  Ink:  Stazon,  Fine Liner: American Crafts

See, it’s easy when you put your mind to it :0) – although sometimes the challenges line up for combining, and sometimes they don’t. You’ve done a fabulous job combining this bunch! I love the doodled border (I think I have a stamp similar to this somewhere) and the tiny echoes of green in the tree and the doodling. Oh, and thanks for the shout out 🙂

I cannot believe that is doodling – I was thinking how well the stamps coordinated!! Beautifully done! So glad to see you at CAS(E) this Sketch!

Such a clever and beautiful combination of the challenges! Love the elegance of this tree and the subtle touch of colour with the marker is perfect!
