CASE this Sketch #13, Addicted to CAS #5

The sketch by the super talented Karolyn at CASE this Sketch this week is brilliant … it’s so versatile and I know I’ll use it again and again.  Check out the DT’s takes … they’re sure to inspire!  Over at Addicted to CAS, the amazingly creative Loll is hosting the code word and she’s asking us to create a project with hearts … after all, St Valentine’s Day is only just around the corner!  There are some wonderfully inspiring examples from the DT there too … and there’s a sponsor … Annabelle Stamps (yum!).  There’s still plenty of time to have play along with both challenges, if you haven’t already … here’s my offering …

Probably THE most CAS card I’ve ever done, so there’s not a lot to say about it that you can’t see!  Sentiment stamped and coloured, trail doodled, heart die cut and attached (off the page to take the place of the mini banner in the sketch), bling added, panel popped up on foam dots, bottom corner rounded … done!  This is one of my new stamps … I ‘heart’ it!

On a different note, I went to see The Hobbit yesterday with a friend … I loved the book as a child (and adult!) and always thought it’d make a great film, much more so than Lord of the Rings that I could never get into (book or films).  It was totally brilliant and magnificent … great cast, wonderful special effects and pretty well true to the book.  Happily, it was shown in the original English with French subs  … there are so many ‘specialist’ words, you only have to imagine what all those Middle Earth names would become … just for starters, Bilbo Baggins becomes Bilbon Sacquet!

Anyhow, after a couple of hours or so of being transfixed,we were beginning to wonder how what was left of the story was going to fit in to the time available … and then the film finished!  Ever had one of those duh moments … neither of us knew it was only Part 1 … ho hum!  If you haven’t seen it already, I can highly recommend it … can’t wait for the next one!

Hope you’re having a Happy Sunday … thanks so much for coming by … Anita 🙂

Love how you ‘hung’ the heart off the page – it seems to be saying “yoo hoo….this way….come follow me….I know the way…. The wee bling makes this ‘simply’ perfect! Sweet doodling too! Love the one rounded corner. All these subtle details add so much interest to a clean and simple card 🙂

Super cute card, Anita. I just love all that lovely white space, interrupted by a wonderful design and sweet sentiment! Thanks too, for your kind comments on my retirement and Lily. I plan to ease my way into some serious crafting time soon! Bev

Such a great take on the sketch with the two hearts, love it! The Hobbit was a great movie … I think there are actually 3 parts, right? We took our 8 year-old as a treat for finishing the book. He only got scared when Gollum was creeping around those rocks.
