Paper Smooches SPARKS (4 – 10 Feb – Trend Watch – Polka Dots)

I have a card to share this evening for Paper Smooches SPARKS where it’s Trend Watch week … the theme is ‘Polka Dots’ and we have a rather gorgeous pink polka dot purse (at least I think it’s a purse) as our inspiration photo (to follow as little or as much as we’d like).  There are also inspiring examples from the DT to get those little grey cells sparkling.  This is mine …PSS 4-2

I love blue … I love pink too but it’s not the same LOVE!  The idea for the layout came from the inspiration card that Laurie Willison did for Muse, here, changed only by taking out one paper panel and centering the remaining one.  The big polka dot DP and the ribbons were in my stash, the little chick and sentiment comes from the PS My Peeps set … it’s coloured with Promarkers and popped up on foam dots. If you look really closely, you may see that the ‘Hi’ is also polka dotted … I went over it with a white fineliner.  Well, that was a quick explanation … much much much quicker than it took to come up with the card!

Hope you’ve had a splendid weekend … thanks so much, as ever, for taking the time to pop in for a visit … Anita 🙂

Love the blue polka dots! I’m still crazy about pink, yellow, red, ok, any color polka dots! This is adorable, love that little bird and the bits of ribbon are just perfect!!!!! Bev

    Beautiful colors!

Polka dots rock….at least in my opinion, they rock! They work for so many types of cards: baby, birthday, valentines…truly a versatile design element. Great call on the ribbon colors – work perfectly with the other shades of blue! And of course, the dotted HI is perfect! (I really need to get some PS stamps)
