CASology #32 (Flame), Paper Smooches SPARKS 18 – 24 Feb (Cool Shades – Chocolate, Cream, Aqua, Cherry Red)

I have a card to share with you for the challenge over at CASology, where the brilliant cue card this week is ‘Flame’.  It’s also for Paper Smooches SPARKS, where there’s a ‘Cool Shades’ week … chocolate, cream, aqua and cherry red …

CASology 32, PSS 18-2

The PS scooter and exhaust flame was stamped, coloured with Promarkers, fussy cut and popped up on foam dots.  I wanted to create the illusion of movement so added the staggered ‘tyre’ marks and made the banner flutter on it’s silver wire post in the ‘speeding’ air flow.  For the eagle eye among you who’ve noticed the scooter seems to be driving itself, there’s an explanation … the rider didn’t hold on tight enough when the nitrous oxide kicked in so is in a heap (but safe) just beyond the edge of the card!

I’m going for an inspiring wander around the other entries … may be back later with a little something.  Thanks so much for coming by, I really appreciate your visits and comments … Anita 🙂

Great card – I love the movement that the lines underneath and the flame and the bent antenna provide! Thanks so much for playing along with CASology this week, Anita!

I love your layout! You are absolutely right that the stagger marks and the fluttering banner add movement!! The little scooter heading right off the edge is perfect also!!

Three challenges?!!! You go girl! Wonderful card; love the way the antenna heads into the wind, and how the banner flies right off the card. This is another wonderful creation Anita! Love this. Bev

I love that little scooter with the flame coming out the back, you did a fantastic job coloring it! Thank you so much for leaving me some love on my blog! And way to go adding it to several challenges!

You’re crazy girl! This is such a clever card. I love cards with ‘scenes’ that hint of a story (where was the guy going before he fell off?). Great job fussy cutting, especially the curves which are so much harder to cut than straight lines. Nice illusion of movement – especially with the banner. Must have been the strong head wind that sent the driver for a loop! Glad to hear that he is okay.

You definitely aced both of these challenges 🙂

Loved this as soon as I saw it in the gallery Anita – fab interpretation of the cue word! I’m assuming it was a male rider? Would never have happened if it had been a woman…LOL
