I was very honoured last week to have this card chosen as one of the Featured Members’ Cards by fellow members at Muse Card Club … I know I’ve already said it in a previous post, but wanted to do so again as this is my first Muse post since… a huge thank you … it really made my day (and week!) 🙂
Sometimes, a set of challenges arrive together at just the right time … and in my brain, that’s what happened today. On Laurie Willison‘s inspiration card for Muse, I love the emphasis on the big bold sentiment, although I struggled to get further with it (I have a very full paper bin to prove it!). That was until I checked out One Layer Wednesday for this week, where the uber talented Susan at Simplicity is the host and has chosen ‘Centred Sentiment’ as the theme … and then I found that the lovely ladies at Less is More have set ‘Spots and Stripes’ for the One Layer Card for March. So, here’s my ultra CAS card for all three …
The big sentiment is computer generated using mainly Century Gothic font with Chaparral Pro Light on the two key words highlighted in bright and mid orange. I scored horizontal lines above and below the sentiment, a row of double vertical lines in the space underneath (stripes) and embossed the space above with Cuttlebug’s Swiss Dots EF (spots). That was it … done!
Hope you’re having a Happy Saturday … thanks so much for coming by, I really appreciate your visits and comments. Anita 🙂

I had a similar idea, but don’t think I could have done it as well, Anita! I predict another winner!
This is a stunning entry into both challenges. Really great how you incorporated them both into a one layer card with only a sentiment. And, congratulations on your Muse win last week.
Love your embossing. Super way to combine the challenges. x
Fabulous embossed panels, Anita, great combination of the challenges!
Gorgeous embossing and well done with your other card
It’s just lovely! Love all the texture and the sentiment with certain words a different color for emphasis just adds a ton of interest while still keeping it CAS! Great card! 🙂

Fabulous card Anita, I love your clean and simple look. I love how you were able to make one card for several challenges and then to have it turn out so incredibly beautiful.
Love this CAS card! 🙂
So interesting that there is not a stamp or ink to be found on this one … how resourceful! This is a great one-layer card, Anita! Love how you tackled the stripes and dots.
amazing card, anita… so clever to use embossing and scoring to get your “spots and dots”! congrats on your muse top 3, too!
Wonderful sentiment for your neat card! Congrats on your Top Pick last week!
Lovely texture on this classy card.
I bow to your amazingness! Way to combine those 3 challenges and come up with a super card!
Beautiful simple elegance that supports the quote rather than compete with it! This card does not need another schmick of anything – absolutely perfect!
Perfect embossing Anita, love how you made the sentiment the centrepiece…lovely wording :0)
