Muse #13, CAS-ual Fridays #99 (Birthday Bash), Addicted to CAS #11 (Flower)

The sun is shining, fluffy clouds are drifting gently across a blue sky, there’s a slight breeze … lovely mmm? With all that yumminess (which is delicious), how come I’ve struggled to put my crafty hat on and put a card together today??  It’s a rhetorical question … if I don’t know, how could you?  It’s not as though there isn’t plenty of inspiration … there is … look.

At Muse, there’s Marion‘s inspiration card with bold images, strong colours and a big sentiment … at CAS-ual Fridays, the DT have put together some wonderful cards to wish Michele a Happy Birthday (which I do too!) … and at Addicted to CAS, the new code word chosen by Caz is ‘Flower’, again with some splendid cards on show from the DT.  Even so, that hat just wasn’t going to stay in place … it’s been on and off so many times … eventually I stuck it on (that strong double sided tape is sooo useful!) and came up with this …

Muse 13, CFC 99, ATCAS 11

I picked out Marion’s flowers idea and included the sprinkling of bling, the big bold sentiment and plenty of white space …

I found the (uncredited) daisy image on line a while ago, printed two direct onto the card, did a third to cut out and then coloured them with Promarkers.  The centres are popped up Candi from Craftwork Cards … IRL they have a sheen to them, but it doesn’t show up in the photo.  I popped up the middle daisy, sprinkled the bling, added a sentiment from Docrafts, and rounded the corners.  Now I’m asking myself … why was it so difficult … especially as I’m not actually too comfortable with it!

Still, I know there’ll be plenty of splendid cards at all three challenges, so I’ll be regaining some creative equilibrium a little later by having a wander around them.  Thanks so much for popping in, I really appreciate your visits and comments!  Anita 🙂

I’m sitting here at my computer desk, mesmerized by this beautifully crafted card, admiring the amazing colored petals that are so beautifully shaded, the painstaking precise fussy cutting that created a die-cut looking image, nodding my head in agreement with the absolutely perfect placed gems, with mouth agape in awe and wonder at the amazing talent that welcomes visitors on every visit!

Absolutely stunning card Anita! The crafty hat served you well 🙂

PS….we are in for more snow tonight (2 – 4 cm)….so soak up a little bit of extra sun just for me 🙂

Hi Anita. This is beautiful. Love the colors … love the popped up middle daisy … love all that fabulous bling. I have yet to master adding rhinestones in a balanced way so always add them and then take them off … carefully 🙂 I’ll be studying yours to help me get over my phobia 🙂 – they are the perfect example of how to do it right! Gorgeous card and thanks so much for joining us at Addicted to CAS. Loll xx

Oh I love that you used a computer-generated image for you card! And then gave it dimension in the center with the fussy cutting (HOW many petals are on there?!?) A very lovely card, Anita! Thanks so much for playing with CASual Fridays!

Hi Anita. Hope all is well. Pleased to hear you are enjoying the good weather. We had a super week up until yesterday – up to 24! It has now turned dull and miz again. TFS the tip about the strong double sided tape to hold your hat on!! LOL! Stunning card. Perfect for this weeks challenge. Thank you for playing along with the Addicted to CAS Challenge.
