Less is More #124 (Hexagons), A Blog Named Hero #26 (Tag)

A big thank you to Chrissie and Jen at Less is More for showcasing my dragonfly one layer card today … this is me when I found out  🙂  … so delighted!  I’m joining in again this week, where we’re playing with hexagons … and I’m just about squeezing in under the wire …

We'd love you to display our banner

ETA:  I’m also linking this card to A Blog Named Hero where the theme is ‘Tag’ … I thought I’d missed it, but it’s still open till next weekend … so there’s plenty of time to play along (can’t often add that to one of my posts!)

The base card was embossed with a Craft Concepts EF, and I used an image and sentiment from Paper Smooches (freebies on the blog, here).  I trimmed out the bee, coloured him with Promarkers, glittered his wings and added Glossy Accents to his eyes (which aren’t quite dry yet … couldn’t wait any longer!).  I popped him up with dimensionals on a hand cut tag, popped the tag up on the hexagons, and used a twist of twine to finish it off.

I’m off to link and check out what the other Limettes have been inspired to create this week.  Thanks so much for coming by, your visits and comments are always a delight!  Anita 🙂

Anita, now if you take your adorable card and cover up the “bee happy” with a different sentiment, you can also enter this card in Casology’s “fish” challenge. I have an image very, very close to that one, only it’s a little fish with that cute tail and funny eyes. LOL! Too cute, either as a fish or a bee!

Congrats on the Less is More win! Told ya this was another winner! The card is spectacular and so deserving of this honor!

Love his glassy eyes…you’d think the wee guy might have had one sip too many of some intoxicating liquid….and I don’t mean honey! Fabulous way to incorporate the hexagon challenge component!

This card is truly ‘sweet as honey’ … 🙂

Now what are the chances I would put “Bev” in my comments, and then the real Bev comments after that?! So sorry Anita … every minute a different kid is starting a conversation with me!! We’re all hanging out on the couch here during the rain.

Anita, this is just too darn cute! What a sweet little bee and she looks so cute against your embossed hexagon background. Looks like your little bee’s hivey home. Love your card, just so fun!

Hey girl, I’m giggling at Griglione! Saw her little boo-boo, and just laughed. Knew what she meant, but didn’t have the heart to tease….then. Still a sweet card my friend. Later!
