Addicted to CAS #22 (Get Well), Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge 18/9 (STAMPtember)

D’you ever have any of those creative moments that really aren’t … where no matter what you do/add/take away, a card doesn’t work?  Then when you come back to what you’ve previously abandoned, you find there’s something there to play with after all?  That’s what happened with this card … it started out as a one layer get well card (LIM/ATCAS) but it looked so naked it would’ve been seriously embarrassed just to have seen the light of day, let alone be displayed on a blog.  So I left it alone.  After a few days, I came back to it … and had one of Bev‘s pings.  I added a circle-cut-out-frame of sea foam blue (that’s a made-up name for the colour, ’cause I don’t know what the real colour is), a touch of twine and a circular tag … plus a little bling for the doc’s light so he can see what he’s doing … popped it all up on foam dots … and voila … he wasn’t naked any more.

So, now he’d like to pop along to Addicted to CAS (as originally intended), and also to Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, where we’ve to use something from the store … this little guy is from The Alley Way Stamps’ Castaways set.

So, before, when he was naked, he was stamped and coloured with Promarkers, and I stamped the sentiment.  There’s a great seaweed/coral stamp in this set and I used that loads of times to do the background ‘waves’ in sea blue and green, having masked the doc off and created a circle mask.  The rest you know.  Now I’m happy … don’t you just love it when you can rescue something you thought was lost?

Thanks so much for coming by, your visits and comments are always a delight!  Anita 🙂
