Marion‘s created a fabulous graphic card for us this week at Muse … with a touch of whimsy thrown in for good measure! Over at Paper Smooches Sparks, it’s Designer Drafts week and to my eyes, it fits well with our Muse challenge … so I combined them …
I stamped the border on a white card panel, using a tiny Paper Smooches stamp (from Spiffy Scooters) and then used the border as a model to line up and draw the background to the frame. The frame was cut, the bird and feathers were stamped and trimmed out, and the sentiment was stamped and embossed on the frame (all stamps from My Peeps). I put the frame and background together, added the bird and feathers and popped it all up on dimensionals. Finally I popped up the panel on the card base. Just in case you’re wondering, the scattering of stars from the PSS sketch appear as the rather tidy border on my version!
I’m off to see how everyone else has been inspired by these challenges. Thanks so much for coming by, your visits and comments are always a delight! Anita 🙂
So cute Anita.
Gorgeous take on Marion’s card Anita!
Great combination of the challenges – love that you used matching stripes down the left side! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Muse this week!
Awww what a cutie!
Love the rich, deep shade of blue that you chose! Fabulous stripes down the side – absolutely PERFECTLY spaced and stamped! Fussy cutting that would make a “die” jealous too 🙂 Love the pops of red and LOVE Polaroid frame!
Yep, winner, winner, chicken (or bird) dinner (don’t mean that cuz your wee avian is far too cute to be someone’s lunch!)
Well, this is easy! I think I’m looking at another winner, Anita! Hugs, Darnell
Anita…this is one fabulous card! Love your tweet little birds.
Ooh! It’s a super duper beautiful creation Anita. Just something about red white and blue (besides the French flag 😉
Such crisp colors for a bird card, love it!
Such a lovely card, Anita! Love the blue and the stripes down the side of the card look great. Paper Smooches stamps are just so cute, aren’t they!
Hi Anita, I do love how you have matched the border and background and my eye was drawn to the red feather as soon as I saw your card-great pop of colour and dimension x

How cute is that little birdy, gorgeous card Anita!
And I was right again, Anita! I think you should change your subheading on your blog to this: “Welcome to Anita’s Blog, where every card’s a winner!!” And well-deserved! Hugs, Darnell
