Papertrey October Blog Hop Challenge (Tag It)

I’ve been looking forward to playing along with the Papertrey Blog Hop Challenge since taking delivery of my first PTI package recently … and this month got myself organised enough to do just that … yay!  So the challenge is to create a set of five (or more) gift tags and we can go as simple or as complex as we like.  I went very simple …

PTI Oct 2013

October-Blog-Hop

I love the look of white on kraft … and as my stamp-a-ma-jig arrived this week, I could double stamp these images from Merry and Bright Additions to get a stronger white without getting apoplectic about making a big spodgy mess (like I did the other day when the leaf cut out was necessary!).  All the tags were stamped with the image and sentiment first and the ‘dressing’ evolved once I saw how they turned out.  The borders are glittery and shimmery, and the tiny ornaments are the confetti from inside them. A little star gem was added to each tree to finish off.  The decorations give the tags a lovely bobbly texture that I rather like … and I think you would too if there was a touch and feel facility available on this computer.  Sadly that’s not the case … but IRL there’s bobbly-ness!

It’s waaayyy past the witching hour here, but even so, I’m still going for a wander around to see what everyone else has been inspired to create.  After all, the clocks go back tomorrow and that means an extra hour of crafting sleep.  Thanks so much for coming by, your visits and comments are always a joy!  Anita 🙂

Love, Love, Love, LOVE the simplicity of these tags! The white/kraft combination always makes me think ‘country’ and evokes warm memories of past Christmas celebrations at my Baba & Gigi’s farm! Keeping the tree decorations simple really lets the image shine…great idea to use the middles from the borders!

Isn’t the Stamp-a-ma-jig the best invention EVER? You will soon wonder how you managed to craft without it!

Anita…these are fabulous little tags! I love that you made them with the kraft paper and white ink, so pretty and very festive for Christmas! I love that you used your stamp-a-ma-jig, it is the best little tool.

simple is best and the white on Kraft is cool. I have a card in mind using this combo but haven’t got to it yet-that little thing called life just keeps getting in the way!

Kraft and white, tags, simple, yet elegant, perfect little pops of colours, bobbly-ness and non-splodgy-ness, thereby staving off an apoplectic meltdown (how funny you are!!): all things in fine order means WOW, WOW and WOW! Once again, stunning creativity; beautiful construction and all around dazzling impact. Lovely x 1000000!
