Muse#40 (Darnell), CASology #67 (Country), CASE Study #163

This week’s party is in full swing over at Muse, and there’s still a little time left to join in the fun created by this week’s GD and sweet friend, the delightful, delicious and delectable Darnell (thought you’d like the alliteration!).  Darnell’s inspiration card is thoughtful and beautiful … and her post equally so (go over if you haven’t already, you’ll see what I mean) … it highlights Breast Cancer Awareness, such an important subject for each of us.  As well as joining in at Muse, I’m also submitting my card to CASology, where the Cue Card is Country and CASE Study, where GD Elena Roussakis has given us a charming pink, white and green scene to play with.  Here’s my card …

Muse 40, CASology 67, CASE Study 163

And here’s Darnell’s wonderful card …

So what did I take from where?  From Darnell’s card I took the layout, the flowers and the colour palette … and the latter two happened to sit nicely with Elena’s light and feminine scene.  I don’t need to look too far to find ‘country’ round here … it’s right on the doorstep … and one of the loveliest sights in spring and summer is the wildflower meadows.  So my card should have you imagining swathes of delicate blooms drifting softly in the gentle breeze amid a sea of green (probably about right for our friends coming into spring in the southern hemisphere … it may take a bit more imagination if you’re already up to your knees in snow!).

On a white panel, I stamped a Penny Black flower image, an Avery Elle sentiment and underlining scroll, and the Annabelle Stamps leafy branches.  The flowers were coloured with Promarkers and I finished off with a strip of gingham DP, before popping it all up on foam dots on the card base.

I’m off to check out what everyone else has been inspired to create … and plan to come back a little later with something else to share.  For now, though, thanks so much for coming by, your visits and comments are always a joy!  Anita 🙂

PS:  Thanks so much to everyone who voted my ‘tweet’ card (here) into an Honourable Mention spot at Muse last week … this is what I looked like when I found out  🙂

Congrats on the HM at MUSE…your ‘tweet’ card was destined for fame!

….as is this card! I’m with Hannellie on the winner, winner call. The random placement of the wee sprigs of greenery really do create a ‘breezy meadow’ look! Beautifully shaded pink flowers look awesome anchored with the gingham paper and are such a vivid contrast to the green & white! Beautiful card Anita!

Everything in your post is delightful and awesome: your heart-felt words about Darnelle, your gorgeous card, and your HM at MUSE (love the ‘photo’ of how you looked when you heard the news!). Back to your card: stunning! Love the flowers; and yes, they capture the beauty of wildflowers wonderfully. Given the snow and temperature – both falling here, I’d really LOVE to be seeing them someplace warm and sunny!! Happy Sunday!
