Avery Elle AEI♥U (December 2013), Keep It Simple #30 (Anything Goes)

Yes, I know, two posts in one day … must be the New Year!  I’m joining in with Keep It Simple‘s Anything Goes theme again … and I’m playing along for the first time at Avery Elle’s AEI♥U challenge.  I’ve been following the latter in Feedly for ages and finally got my hot little hands on an AE stamp set a short while ago (yay!) … you’ve seen it already here, but until now, that certain je ne sais quoi to fit the challenge brief has eluded me.  Yesterday, though, I came up with this …

Avery Elle Dec 13, KIS 30

I cut a tag, stamped the stripes and sentiment, mounted it on a slightly larger black tag and added some twine.  The flower and leaves were stamped, trimmed out and adhered to the tag with different depth foam dots.  I fixed a strip of black card to a piece of Doodlebug DP (yes, me with DP … yikes!), attached them both to the bottom part of the base card and added the tag, again popped up on foam dots.  It puts me in mind of a little black tie ensemble with just a touch of rebel colour … yes/no?

That’s it from me for now … back to getting creative with the renovation rather than with cards tomorrow!  Thanks so much for coming by, your visits and comments are always a joy!  Anita 🙂

Pin striped pants and a bright bow tie thats what it reminds me of. Gorgeousness abounds on this beauty Anita. The stamped tag and the great use of DP perfection and then the pop of color sublime !
