I was thrilled to have this card chosen as the winner in the last challenge at Uniko Studio … and equally thrilled to realise that as a result, I get to join the team as mid-challenge Guest Designer this month! We have a super sketch from the talented Gayatri to play with (below) … and here’s what I created …
All my Uniko stamps are either Christmas or Winter themed, so I thought it may be rather a challenge to create something different with what I had. However, that wasn’t the case … Bev’s made sure that her stamp sets are more versatile than that … I just needed to look at them from a new point of view! So after checking them all out, I settled on the heart and wee branch from ‘Jolly Christmas’ and created this sweet Valentine’s wreath.
Using a pencilled circle as a guide, I stamped the branch randomly in two different greens and added the sentiment (from Winnie & Walter). The hearts were stamped in Valentine colours, trimmed out, had Wink of Stella applied liberally to add sparkle, and were popped up on foam dots on the wreath. The twine acts as a hanger and I finished it off with a scattering of tiny heart sequins that tumble down the card, coming to rest in between the popped up hearts on the wreath.
I’m also linking up at Addicted to CAS, where Jaydee’s chosen a Love theme, at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday‘s Anything Goes With Twine or String, and at Simon Says Stamp Monday, where we’re playing with Love Notes.
ETA: I’m also linking up at Winnie & Walter’s Join In To Win, where we’re sharing cards we’ve made with their fabulous first release!
There are still another 10 days left to play along at Uniko … so lots of time to get creative! I do hope you’ll get the chance … even if you don’t have any Uniko Studio stamps yet, you can use Bev’s Super Free Saturday images until you get hooked!
Thanks so much for coming by, your visits and comments are always a joy! Anita 🙂
