Papertrey Ink 7th Anniversary Day 5

I’m so enjoying the Papertrey birthday celebrations … there’s something rather satisfying about stretching my supply of PTI stamps … and with having just a day to make a card for each challenge … usually my mind needs to mull for a while.

PTI 7th Birthday Day 5

Today, we’ve to make a birthday card … and then mail it to the Papertrey warehouse team.  My inspiration came from two recipe cards … one for the colours and one for the design idea from a featured card.  I used a sentiment and the little line of chevrons from Sketched Shapes … stamping the sentiment first and then building the arrow heads from the grey centre line outwards each side.  The panel was mounted on grey cardstock before being adhered to the card base.  Puts me in mind of a snuggly warm blanket!

Hope you’ve had a wonderful weekend … thanks so much for coming by, your visits and comments are always a delight!  Anita 🙂

Great card Anita…… those arrows. I think that sometimes we make better, more spontaneous, cards when we don’t have too much time to think!

Feels like a warm sweater. This just makes me happy!! Love this card. Great idea to frame it in black. That just sets everything off perfectly. I owe you an em, and will get to it soon, I promise. hugs

Everything about your card makes me feel all toasty warm (just as Bev mentioned), smiley-happy (all over my face…I love this phrase of yours!), and delightfully dazzled (which is the effect all your cards have on me – and everyone else who visits, too)! Arrows, colours, layout…swooooooooning!! Hugs~c

What a bold and graphic design. And, so perfectly stamped. I’ve been sitting here admiring this card–how you got everything so perfectly lined up–is just fantastic.

LOVE this one, Anita! Besides simply not having time this week to participate in the challenges…it’s super hard for me to come up with an idea in a day, too. I’m a muller like you. 🙂

Thanks so much for taking the time to comment, I really appreciate it!
