Less is More #161 (Yellow & Green), Hero Arts Birthday (Floral)

I don’t often use just yellow and green … and wasn’t going to this time, till I had one of Bev‘s pings and this arrived …

LIM 161, HA Bday

The colour palette comes from the lovely ladies at Less is More this week … deliciously spring-like isn’t it?  I’m also playing at the Hero Arts Birthday Challenge … there are five categories, mine is the floral one.

I stamped the Waltzingmouse Simple Sprig leaves direct onto the card base.  The flowers (reminiscent of Charles Rennie Mackintosh) were stamped, trimmed out and had Wink of Stella liberally added … in the centres I dipped the brush into the yellow ink before applying it on top of the yellow stamping, to add a bit more dimension.  I popped the flowers up on foam dots and added the Hero Arts sentiment, which was also Wink of Stella’d.

There’s another card to post, then I’ll be having a happy meander around blogland … see you there!  Thanks so much for coming by, your visits and comments are always a joy!  Anita 🙂

Bon soir Anita – love your card. Those Renee Mackintosh flowers look fab popped up on the leaves, especially with the Wink of Stella added. Gorgeous! Have a great weekend.

Your green and yellow look great, Anita!!! You’ve placed everything perfectly – the sentiment fits so nicely between the branches. Love those sweet little flowers and the little bit of ink you’ve added to the centres does give lovely dimension. This is really beautiful!!!

Very pretty. Your design is lovely and popped up flowers are perfect. It looks like a close up view of Cootamundra Wattle.
Charles Rennie Mackintosh roses? I picked a bunch of them yesterday for the hall table, They are one of my favorites.

Anita, your card is lovely; your flowers remind me of the potentilla shrubs I used to have in my yard, back when I lived in the “big city”. Wonderful memories (wish I had my own yard…sighhh); beautiful card! Hugs~c

This is just beautiful. You made yellow and green look good together. I love that flower set, too. I have it and I think it is time I pulled it out.
