CASology #87 (Blush), Online Card Class CAS 3 (Optical Illusion), Simon Says Stamp 19/3 (Glitter It), Stamplorations March (Stamps and Spring)

Here’s my second post for the day … it’s a big thank you …

CASology 87, OCC CAS3 Day 3-2, SSSW 19-3

CASology’s cue card of ‘Blush’ was just the most perfect one for me this week, after my surprise event on Tuesday … who wouldn’t be blushing and flushed and delighted … and in need of saying ‘Thank You’!  So I have!  I used one of the techniques outlined by Jennifer at my Online Card Class for this mostly blush pink card.  Jennifer used dies to make her masks … as I don’t have such things (yet!), I drew what I wanted out on paper, cut a couple of masks with a craft knife and attached them to the card base with temporary adhesive.  Then I got to work with an Avery Elle set, stamping in pinks and greens, and creating a bloom filled banner frame.  Once it was all stamped, I sliced a Papertrey sentiment in two (you did what?  Yikes!), stacked it and stamped it into the middle of the banner.  The flowers looked a bit naked as they were, so I stamped a tiny Clearly Besotted seed head to the middle of each and then added Wink of Stella and Stickles to them to add sparkle.

As well as joining in with CASology‘s Blush challenge and linking up to the Online Card Class gallery, I’m also playing along at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday where the theme is Glitter It.

ETA:  Cornelia suggested that I also link this up with the Stamplorations‘ March Challenge, Stamps and Spring … so I am … thanks, Cornelia!

Off to do a few chores to deal with the seriously-in-need-of-cleaning-and-tidying house (I’ve been either renovating or having fun getting to visit lots of lots of you in blogland this week, so not a great deal of time for much else!).   I’ll be meandering around a little later to see what everyone’s been creating this weekend and to catch up some more.  Thanks so much for coming by, your visits and comments are always a joy!  Anita 🙂

Beautifully soft and so, so pretty! Great job masking the die that you didn’t have! Resourcefulness and talent – two must haves in this fun sport of ours…..and you are blessed with both! Great idea to add the wee seed heads to the images – definitely dressed the flowers up nicely! Another stunning creation dear friend!

Gorgeous, Anita, simply gorgeous! Your home-made mask for your home-made tag works wonderfully (I wouldn’t even attempt this without dies to guide me! No dies, no do…seriously!) And the flowers, with their little special touch center seeds, are absolutely stunning. Love this x a zillion! About the chores – yep, I hear you. I’d much rather play, but the vacuum is giving me stern looks…Hugs~c

Love how you used those masked banners! And you did it the hard way, without dies! Very clever! And the bit of sparkle in the centers just make it perfect!

It’s nice that you’re sharing your cards from the Online Card Class. I didn’t join up this time so it’s fun to see what I’ve missed! This is such a pretty card.

Me?, I’ve decided that skipping chores for today is in order. As Scarlett O’Hara says “…tomorrow is another day…” But your card…this is exactly why you also should skip the chores and head back into your craft room! Amazingly and perfectly beautiful. You’ve got a winner here. I love this, and will be pinning this. Gorgeous! more hugs : )

The housework will still be there tomorrow, your inspiration might not be, so I know which gets my vote! Such a pretty card too, and cutting up stamps, just do it. Tools, not jewels!

Your card is gorgeous, Anita! I’m glad you created your own mask to try new technique. Actually I didn’t notice until you mentioned. (I thought you used the banner die.) Thanks so much for playing with us at CASology.

Absolutely stunning. I love the colors and floral pattern you created. And–I bow to you for cutting your stamps. I have only done it a few times, but never with PTI. Don’t know why I hoard those so much.

Another case of magic worked on textured cardstock. WITH A HOMEMADE MASK. And you still get such clean lines. Wonderful touch to add the center to the blooms too. Thanks so much for joining us with this Springy beauty at STAMPlorations this month.
