CASology #96 (Flower), Viva la Verve May Colours (Aqua, Grey, Yellow), Stamplorations May (Stamps and Flowers), SSS Monday 26/5 (Botanicals)

Over the last few weeks, I’ve filled both of our village recycling bins with card rejects … you know, the large ones on wheels … yep, to overflowing.  Challenges have been and gone … and I’ve heard nothing from Monsieur Mojo … not even so much as a postcard.  So I’ve taken a deep breath and made a card without him …

CASology 96, VLV May Colours, Stamplorations May, SSSM 26-5

I drew a black line down the base card, masked off the right hand side and stamped the ranunculus (from Stampendous) in grey.  The flowers were loosely watercoloured and had a touch of Wink of Stella added to the centres.  The sentiment was made with words from Clearly Besotted’s A Little Sentimental and the ‘beautiful’ is from Technique Tuesday … it too has been Wink of Stella’d.  A simple little one layer card with no assistance from Monsieur M … I’m feeling proud!  In case you’re wondering about aqua coloured ranunculus (which granted, are unusual), try a google search … they’re there!

These are the challenges I’m joining in with …

CASology – Flower

Viva la Verve – Aqua, Grey, Yellow (for the first time … sorry, no Verve stamps … yet!)

Stamplorations – Stamps and Flowers

Simon Says Stamp Monday – Botanicals

Off now for a gentle meander through the blogosphere for some non-MM inspiration.  Thanks so much for coming by, your visits and comments are always a joy!  Anita 🙂

You are so funny Anita! Let me tell you that you don’t need Mr. Mojo at all!! lol I love, love this card!!! I think it is so clever of you to put a black line down the card-looks amazing. Love those flowers too and of course you have water colored them so pretty! Yep, you should be proud of yourself because Mr. Mojo has nothing on you! Hugs, Brenda

I don’t think you need Mr Mojo as this is truly stunning. I love the colours and the hint of glitter. Plus I have one stunning card from you on my mantelpiece that proves Mr Mojo isn’t needed…it shines, thank you so much x

I, too, have had similar feelings lately, Anita… perhaps the Spring weather is calling us out to enjoy it instead of being indoors? I hope you are receiving my replies to your comments… this is all so new to me =]

Well, looks like you’ve shown Mr. Mojo a thing or two, creating a stunning beauty in his absence! Perhaps he’ll need to take up residence elsewhere! Love the aqua flowers and matching ‘beautiful’, the black separation line, the pops of yellow. Yes, totally gorgeous…Hugs~c

I’m behind. Again. But I did take a peek at this earlier. And it is gorgeous. Love the flower crowded panel on the left, which is perfectly balanced out with the very CAS panel. To heck with M. Mojo…you’re doing just fine without him!!!! LOVE this!!!!!

Hi Anita. We have all been there … Mr. Mojo goes missing for all of us and it is very frustrating. I have gotten to the point of walking away for a while to break the cycle and if that doesn’t work, sometimes CASE’ing someone else’s card can help get me back on track. It looks like you’ve done it your own way and persevered. This card is AMAZING … Mr. Mojo must have his tail between his legs knowing that you don’t need him 🙂 Gorgeous combination of colors and the images are so pretty. But it’s the layout that blows me away. I LOVE the black line divided the two parts of the card … and I LOVE your random stamping of the flowers … and I LOVE the two part sentiment with the different fonts and colors. Everything is so perfect together. Loll xx

I don’t see any sign of your mojo taking off anywhere, Anita…this is such a stunning card! And, I love that you colored the Ranunculus in aqua…they’re so pretty and your CAS design is just perfect!

Who would have thought that running a black line down the middle of white card stock would turn into the perfect card??!! Even without Mr Mojo, you still got it! I LOVE the flower colours, especially in watercolour, they have a beautiful ‘watery’ look (I know..’watery’??…I just can’t think of the right word…). And brilliant idea to have the ‘beautiful’ in the sentiment coloured the same way. Mr Mojo will come back…he always does…but in the meantime you now know you don’t always need him.

Oh, dear, I think everyone knows the feeling of Mister Mojo sometimes staying away for quite some time!!! I wondered why you weren’t posting a lot lately. Well, anyway, surely you can make beautiful cards without Mister Mojo being around!! This card is just stunning!!! I love the clever idea of the black line and your flowers look beautiful – so beautifully water coloured!! The sentiment is lovely!! If you can make a card like this without Mister Mojo it proves that you don’t really need him all the time!!!

    Have a super day!!

I hate when Mr. Mojo goes on an unapproved vacation! So frustrating! You’ve overcome his absence though with this beauty. Love those gorgeous flowers and the touch of blue you added to the sentiment! Thanks for playing along with CASology this week!

Ranunculus…try saying that fast three or four times and listen to what you get!

Fabulous card pal! Amazing job adding depth & dimension to a one layer card! Not only does the hand drawn black line give the illusion of a mat but it also creates a visual division between the flowers and the pretty white space, which I think emphasises the pretty water colored flowers to the max! Yep….winner, winner…..

Hola, Anita! I think you give Mister Mojo too much credit. This is a beautiful card. I love it and you actually gave me a great idea. Thank you. Keep your chin up. You’re too hard on yourself (I do the same). Your card projects are always so beautiful. Your friend in San Antonio, Texas.
