I’m excited … today sees the start of a new challenge at Time Out … and the start of my own new challenge as a Design Team member … yep, definitely excited! This fortnight, we have a Home Sweet Home theme, which means there’s a fabulous inspiration photo for you to wrap your creativity around … look …
There’s so much to play with here … the natural look of the linen cloth, wooden box and rustic twine … the chunky labels/tags … those wonderful messages … and all that lovely white! I went for a pretty literal take on the inspiration …
Some of you may remember I used wood from a mushroom basket on this card a little while ago … well, said wood leapt to mind as soon as I saw the inspiration photo (don’t you just love it when that happens!). The Hero Arts sentiments were stamped directly onto a nicely grained piece of it, I cut them out with a guillotine (apart from the pp’s!) and outlined them using a black fine liner. Once they’d gone through a little arranging, they were attached to a white card panel, I added some strands of twine tied with a knot and popped the whole thing up on a kraft card base. No shimmer or bling … seems it’d be a good masculine encouragement card!
So, what do you think of when you see the inspiration photo? Why not take some time to have some fun with it and play along … all the details are over at Time Out, along with a whole host of fabulous cards from the Design Team and our lovely Guest Designer this fortnight, Christine from Poppaeacards. Look forward to seeing you in the gallery!
Thanks so much for coming by, your visits and comments are always a joy! Anita 🙂

What a great take on the inspiration photo! Also love that you recycled your mushroom container – I am a big fan of recycling and reusing! Unfortunately we don’t get ours in beautiful wooden baskets. You better look around for more recipes using lots of mushrooms! Would love to see more “wooden” cards…

Love these words of encouragement Anita stamped onto your organic
” mushroom wood ” as the banners is such a beautiful neutral. I remember getting mushrooms in these boxes back in Canada, but here we receive in blue styrofoam or, as I buy loose, placed in a brown paper bag. I look forward to seeing more cards from you and hope to play along too!
Wow … the wooden banner are fantastic and the outline really gives definition.
Way to breathe new life into that mushroom basket, transforming them into little frames of encouraging words. Awesome take on the inspiration photo; and that, my friend,is why you’re on this DT…phenomenal creativity!!
