Time Out #16 (CASE With Your Own Twist), Less is More #192 (Autumn’s Bounty), Waltzing Mouse Fanatics #28 (Anything Goes), Stamplorations – October (Stamps & Embossing), SSS Monday 6/10 (Falling in Love With …)

It’s time for another fabulous challenge at Time Out … our theme this fortnight is CASE with your own twist.  Our designer to CASE is the amazing Heather Telford, who has given us this wonderful, glowing, autumnal, leafy scene as our inspiration …

and here’s my take on it …

Time Out 16 DT, LIM 192, WMF 28, Stamplorations October, SSS 6-10I love Heather‘s use of the the leaves and colour to create that fabulous warm glow, so focussed on those elements for my card, with an embossed twist.  On a white panel, I stamped and white heat embossed the leaves from Waltzing Mouse Stamps, and sponged over five colours of ink (the changing shades of autumn).  The Waltzing Mouse Stamps ‘Warmed by your friendship’ sentiment was stamped onto vellum and heat embossed.  I coloured the vellum on the back, cut it into a banner and wrapped it round one side of the panel.  The base card was masked and sponged with olive green, and the leaf panel was popped up on foam dots over it.

So, wouldn’t you just love to CASE Heather‘s card … and add your own twist?  To get those creative juices flowing, there’s a whole raft of gorgeous inspiration over at Time Out, from our amazingly talented and delightful Guest Designer, Carol (Just Me:C) and the fabulous Design Team … go for a visit and you’ll see what I mean!  I do hope you’ll find some time to have fun and play along … look forward to seeing you in the gallery!

Be-u-ti-ful!! I love this so much, it really is stunning! The leaves are so crisp with their embossing and the gradual changes of colour in the background are what Autumn is all about. And the olive green peaking out around the sides just makes it pop. This has to be one my favourites of yours ever!!

Wonderful changing in colours, blended to perfection. And the coloured vellum is such a funky idea and the sentiment so perfect for this card. You stamp so well on this textured paper, it doesn’t seem to work like this when I do it!!!

You have such a wonderful ability to blend your inks without any sponge marks. You must have a fabulous light touch. My ink blending is definitely a work in progress–always too dark and always with sponge marks! Maybe you could come foro tea and help me! 😉

This is a gorgeous CAS(e) of Heather’s lovely card. The linen card always adds such gorgeous texture which is added to with the lovely embossed leaves and autumnal colours.

Your really made the inspiration card your own! The embossed leaves on the perfectly blended background are gorgeous and the idea of coloring the vellum before embossing is brilliant!
Btw, I added your blog anew to my reader, deleted the other one and now I am getting your posts again! Phew! Who knows what that was all about! And who else am I not getting new posts from…???

I’m obviously not alone when it comes to admiring your amazing blending ability/technique! The transition from one color to the next is seamless! The white embossed sentiment really pops against the orange. Nice touch to wrap the sentiment banner behind the panel – gives it a nice ‘finished’ look! Another amazing and absolutely beautiful creation!

STUNNING, Anita. The blending looks amazing, I love the layout with larger background, yet so CAS, and the colored vellum -I’m so stealing that idea!!! 😉 Hugs from Finland.

Oh my Anita, your card is just as beautiful as the inspirational card! I love your leaves embossed white and then the beautiful inking around them. Such a cool look and makes ones eye think that it is just the opposite after looking at it, like the brain reverses how it is. So, it is really cool! You know, like those mind games. lol Hugs, Brenda

Hola, Anita! Wow, what a GREAT thank you card! That is simply amazing! Awesome. How’s the weather in France, by the way? San Antonio is hot. We hit 95*F yesterday, but we’re supposed to get a “cold” front, which is supposed to knock us down to 80*F. Sure hope so. Have a great weekend. Howdy from Texas………….. Marisela

Love your take on the card, using the colours in the background and keeping the leaves white is inspired. Adding the colour to the reverse of the vellum and stamped sentiment makes it sing out. Thank you for joining the Waltzingmouse Fanatics Challenge.
