Muse #91 (Michele Ferguson), Less Is More #196 (Colours – Non Traditional Christmas), Hero Arts Holiday Challenge (Anything Goes), A2Z Scrapbooking – November (Anything Goes), SSS Wednesday 29/10 (Anything Goes)

If you’ve been visiting for a while, you’ll know I don’t really do DP … in fact, it’s probably only been used about three times this year!  Today, however, I’ve pushed the boat out … my delightful and super talented friend, Michele (I Card Everyone) is GD at Muse this week and has challenged us to make three Christmas cards with just one sheet of DP … hmmmm!  You’ll see Michele’s gorgeous trio when you scroll down (and when you visit her blog, you really don’t want to miss that!) … these are mine …

Muse 91 Trio 1and here’s Michele’s inspiration … gorgeous or what?

Here are mine taken individually, so you can see them better … and I can link them here and there (I hope!).

Muse 91, LIM 196, SSSW 29-10Here, I used a Bethleham border die from Taylored Expressions (courtesy of Ardyth … one of the BABES … thanks, my friend!), embossed the SSS sentiment in white onto it, and popped it up on foam dots on a panel of DP.  The large SSS star was white embossed on the DP and filled with WOS.  I masked the card base and sponged a black border before popping the scene up onto it on foam dots.

LIM 196, Muse 91, SSSW 29-10 Here I used my newly aquired SSS Nativity stamps and dies.  I cut the barn die three times, stacked them together, adhered the DP behind and fixed the panel to the card base.  The Holy Family was stamped, die cut and coloured with Promarkers, with a touch of WOS added to the infant Jesus, and was then popped up in the barn.  The sentiment is a blend of SSS (Christmas) and Papertrey (Joy) … I added a gem to the dot and some WOS to the lettering.

As well as linking these two cards up to Muse, I’m also playing along with …

Less Is More – Non Traditional Christmas Colours (no red or green)

SSS Wednesday – Anything Goes (second and third entry)

Muse 91, LIM 196, HA Holiday 2014, A2Z November, SSSW 29-10For this final card, I trimmed the DP, stamped the Hero Arts nativity and added WOS to the star and to the halo around the infant Jesus.  Again, the base was masked and the black border was sponged on, I popped up the nativity panel onto it and added the Hero Arts sentiment.

In addition to Muse, this card is heading to …

Less Is More – Non Traditional Christmas Colours (not red or green)

Hero Arts Holiday Challenge – Anything Goes

A2Z Scrapbooking – Anything Goes (as long as it’s HA)

SSS Wednesday – Anything Goes (fourth entry)

Goodness, that was a full post!  I’m really hoping to link all these up from here … the last time I did a multiple card post for the same challenges, it didn’t work very well at all and needed to be undone so that each card could linked individually.  Fingers crossed!  Thanks so much for coming by, your visits and comments are always a joy!  Anita 🙂

You should use pp more often, Anita! It’s no surprise to me that you do it as well as you do anything else card-related: perfectly! These are all extraordinary and how fun that you got them to work in so many wonderful challenges!! I hope all the linking worked well for you. Sometimes I find that it takes me as long to do all the multiple linkups as it did to write my post!! Have a wonderful week!! Hugs, Darnell

Oh Anita… there are no better images than these for a true Christmas card. Just so beautiful… And WOS for His halo indeed! The DP is gorgeous, but your cards are beautiful just the way they are so don’t go changing a thing!
I have had equally bad experiences with linking several photos… must get a lesson from you as it appears you’ve conquered it!
I love that you’ve played along… thank you from the bottom of my heart… truly.

Three gorgeous cards! I love the colors you chose and how you made all three in the same color combo — truly beautiful! It’s hard to pick a favorite, but I know for certain that I’m very happy that you entered the challenge over at the a2z Scrapbooking Blog! Thanks so much for sharing and GOOD Luck in all the challenges!

Totally adore your trio of cards! Love the starry DP you used (well, of course!) as well as the dies and stamps and layouts! I was hoping to play in this challenge but didn’t get around to it.
    Have a great week!

Anita…what a sweet trio of stunning cards. I love each and everyone of them. And yes, you should use patterned paper more often, you have done amazing things with it on these cards. Just so beautiful.

Well hopefully patterned paper is growing on you, because you sure use it well! My favorite is the large manger with the stars INSIDE instead of outside as I would expect. Totally gives a whole new look and meaning to the scene! So smart, Anita : )

Wowzers girlfriend….you sure know how to crop up a pretty piece of DP! I’m thinking that you need to explore this avenue more often because these cards are ALL spectacular! Pairing the black with the various shades of blue creates a subtle feel to all three cards – so fitting for the occasion!

Spectacular!! Yay you for getting out of your comfort zone and using DP. The paper is so pretty and so you. It really is incredible because all of your cards are so well made, they really look like you purchased them all from a store! Love all your new products, especially the Nativity set. There will be some very happy people receiving these closer to Xmas I’m sure!

I missed playing in that Muse challenge, but still want to give it a try as most of my pp is simply decorating the drawer where it’s stored–LOL! Your set is just wonderful, Anita! Thanks for playing in the challenge at a2z Scrapbooking!
