CASology #120 (Sea),The Cutting Edge# 14 (Lisa Addesa), SSS Wednesday 5/11 (Thinking of You)

It’s a fortnight since I arrived home after my week with the BABES at the Lake House … it’s been a busy time since … lots of insurance stuff from the lightning strike in August … plenty to keep me busy on the renovation … catching up in blogland … and jet lag!  With ‘normal’ life going on, you’d think there wouldn’t be much room for anything else.  Ha, so not so … missing you, BABES … and because you were in my thoughts, I made you a collective card …

CASology 120, TCE 14, SSSW 5-11On a white card panel, I stamped six beach huts (one each!) … I know we were by the lake and not the ocean, but I used poetic license!  They were stamped using the rectangle and diamond (masked) from Clearly Besotted Geometric Shapes, with a heart die from SSS used for the windows, and a sentiment from WPlus9 (it comes stacked … I cut it up … be proud, Ardyth!).  Using the roof colours from the huts, I stamped squares from the same CB set onto the base card so they would show through the windows, coated them with Wink of Stella and Glossy Accents, and popped the beach hut panel up on foam squares (courtesy of Geri … thanks, my friend!) on the base card.  Voila!

Some of you may notice that one of the roofs is slightly askew … it’s in need of some repair due to a little storm damage!   Want to see the how sparkly clean those windows are?  Look …

As well as being for each of the BABES, this card is also heading for …

Oh, how I miss you, my dear sweet friend! You have made my Sunday the best ever with this sweet and clever card! My face is starting to hurt from smiling sooooooo big! Thanks for the giggle from the ‘storm damaged, slightly askew roof’…perhaps the insurance folks could cover the costs of a whole whack of new stamps & ink? Wouldn’t hurt to ask!

Your card is so darn clever and beyond cute! Love the gloss & glitz on the hearts. And three cheers for slicing & dicing up a stamp! I admire your bravery!

    BTW….winner,, winner, winner, winner!!!

I’ll blame it on my blurry vision coz I sure don’t see any slightly askew storm-damaged roof on this perfectly crafted and clever card, Anita! I love that you have joined those of us who cut up our stamps (and, bonus, they go back together again!) and I appreciate how much thought and love went into this sweet winning card!! I had lunch today with Kim (lucky me!) and we were laughing and sighing as we reminisced about our good times at the Lake House! Bisous Bisous!! Darnell

Anita, this is gorgeous! What a perfect card for the BABES! And I can’t see the askew houses…can feel your pain on the lightning strike. Ours was struck a year ago September…pain in the neck!

I have some bad news…I didn’t win the lottery so we won’t be getting our craft house in the Caribbean anytime soon. However, these little beach huts will do nicely instead! This is amazing and fun, colorful and just plain fun. I LOVE THIS CARD!!!!!!! And I’m calling it…WWCD on all challenges. VERY COOL. Miss you dear friend. bisous bisous.

What a fun and clever card Anita! I love your little beach huts representing each of your BABES and the windows, how how they sparkle and shine!!! You have been one busy gal since you have returned from your trip. Don’t you hate when you have to go back to “real” life after a trip like that?!! But real life always calls and back we must go. This is so sweet and boy you needed patience to do this. Your creative use of the stamps to make the guys is inspiring. And even after you have told me their is storm damage I can’t see it….you need to keep quiet about such tiny things!! And by the way-can you come here and clean my windows-London smog is not too easy!

Aw, how cute are these beach huts?! Luckily the askew roof is barely noticeable…darn lightening! So glad you had a great time with “the babes” and I’m sure they will all appreciate your thoughtful card. So glad you were able to join us at CASology this week!

You have to stop doing this, I don’t have room in my ‘Anita’s Top 10’ list anymore. I love this one so much!! Brilliant idea to make the the little huts (we don’t have them here but I’ve seen them on tv) and the colours are so pretty. They are just darling, very much like the BABES I suspect! Hope your nearly finished dealing with the lightning strike paperwork, insurance takes such a long time to sort out. There was an earthquake 3 years ago a few hours from us and people are still waiting for their house payouts while living in a broken home.

Time to add words to the awe…Your card here: not only pretty, charming and delightful, but the essence behind why you created it is absolutely heart-warming! It’s wonderful!!! I had to go check out that stamp set and I can say without a doubt that I’m not creative enough to see a row of houses! And you cut a stamp! I’m impressed!
