I’m popping in with a quick reminder … there’s still a week to go in the latest Time Out challenge! We (the Design Team) have plenty of mid challenge inspiration for you over at the Time Out blog, so why not have a meander over there and see how the Home Sweet Home photograph sparks your creativity? Here’s the wonderful inspiration photo …
and here’s my latest take on it …
This is a little different from the norm for me … it’s either a very slim card or a very long tag (it’s the latter … there’s twine on it)! I saw the planted pine cones and the tall, slender candle sticks in the picture … and thought graphic Christmas trees! A snow bank was sponged at the bottom of the kraft scrapling, it was embossed in white and was dabbed over with Espresso ink to emphasise the texture. I used an SSS stencil for the snow, again white embossed. A tall triangle (from Avery Elle‘s Bright Days) was stamped three times onto spare card and double embossed, two in silver (Hero Arts) and one in platinum (Ranger). They were trimmed out, covered with Versamark, embossed again and popped up onto the snow bank with foam dots. I finished with a Papertrey sentiment, a red gem atop each of the trees and a little twine.

Thanks so much for coming by, your visits and comments are always a joy! Anita 🙂
I would make this a gift card-the person who gets it can use it as an ornament! The trees really do look like metal and the long, tall card is really different and a reminder I have stuck to the same old shape for a while now x
I was thinking the same as Sandie, I wouldn’t want to throw away the tag with the wrapping paper, I would put it on the tree too!! Your right, this is so different to your normal but different in a fabulous way. I love the tall, thin design and it works so well with the tree’s. You can’t beat kraft card for xmas and I really love it with gold or silver. This should definitely inspire anyone coming over to TIME OUT!!!
You’ve got a winner here. The shape is cool and perfect for the tall trees. The slick embossing on the trees is so modern. Love the little touches of red too.
its so gorgeous! Love those trees and the background is fab! xxx
Beautiful tag. I love the dimensions, it really shows off the tall trees 🙂
It may be something different from you,,, but it still is lovely! I LOVE the little red rhinestones on top of the trees!
Oh this is too gorgeous, Anita! I am totally gaga over the platinum eb this year! Your trees? Perfection. I awoke to several inches of the dreaded white stuff this morning… I’d so much rather be playing in your snow!

The tall trees are really cool looking and I love your take on the inspiration photo. I had to go back and look for those tall candles because my eye didn’t pick up on them right away. lol I wish my eyes worked like you BABES. lol Or was as talented as you BABES. Yes, I do love this tag-you should go out of your box more often Anita!! Hugs, Brenda
GASP! Everything you touch turns to gold and silver and platinum, Anita! This has got to be on everyone’s Top Ten Tags of 2014 list!! It certainly is on mine. First of all, I apologize for this late comment but I have just discovered that a couple of your posts must have taken the wrong turn en route to Dauphin! To think I almost missed this amazing, AMAZING creation! The trees are magnificent! I was sure you had used some type of thin metal sheeting to create these trendy evergreens! And they work so well with the kraft card stock! Truly a work of art dear friend….funky, trendy, artsy, cool…
BTW…callin’ winner, winner here pal!
