Amid all the activity of preparations for Christmas, why not take a little breather … have some fun with a few crafty goodies and play along with us at Time Out, where we’re half way through our latest challenge. Our theme is CASE With Your Own Twist …. and our wonderfully talented designer to CASE is Aimes at Crafting Confessions. Here’s my mid challenge card …
and here’s Aimes‘ soft and delicate hearts and snowflakes card …
This time, I focussed again on the snowflakes … and added my own twist by going bolder and more graphic than last week, with an inset die cut Uniko Studio snowflake. I cut the snowflake from glitter card and from a white panel, and slotted one into the other, leaving gaps in the middle. The Uniko Studio sentiment was embossed in Hero Arts silver EP and the panel was popped up on the card base. Wink Of Stella was used to add sparkle in the snowflake gaps and I added a single gem to the star. Here’s a close up so you can see the different aqua colours in the all that sparkle …
So, how about CASE-ing Aimes‘ card … and adding your own twist? If you’re in need of a jump start, there’s plenty of inspiration from our fabulous Guest Designer, Milla and the wonderful Design Team over at Time Out. Hope you’ll have some time to play along … look forward to seeing you in the gallery!

I really like this design. I have a spare snowflake die cut like this one, mine is pink though, so I think I may have to give this a go! And great way to showcase the Uniko die, thanks for taking part at Uniko x
This is so beautiful Anita. Love the color and the use of negative space. Ooh …that subtle shimmery sparkle looks fantastic!
Oh this is gorgeous Anita. Love how the die is partially cut out.
OH my Anita, this card is just simply beautiful!! I love how you inlaid the snowflake, but not the middle. Looks so cool looking. Love the glitter paper and love the font of your sentiment. Hugs, Brenda
Beautiful card Anita. I love the inlaid work and taking a close up-photo really shows the work you did. Leaving empty spaces is very clever. The large font is perfect on the card.
Inspired as usual! I love the depth it has with the negative space and inlay on the popped up panel. Beautiful!
This is gorgeous, Anita! I love the snowflake in-lay, and it is such a pretty color. Love the sparkle too! Thanks for joining us this week at Just Us Girls!
I adore your card Anita – totally CAS and sparkly but sadly you’ve exceeded our limit of 5 challenge link ups at less is more this week. Huge apologies we can’t accept your card this time despite loving it to bits. Hope you’ll come back and play again.

Less is More
This is so lovely, Anita. I love that you popped it up with some cutouts. It adds so much dimension.
Beautiful, sparkly, inlaid snowflake! Thanks for joining in at JUGS!
Love the inset die look Anita – that is so cool!
I love the snowflake in-lay, and it is such a vibrant and pretty color. Thanks for playing along with the girls and I this week at JUGS…sure hope to see more of your fabulous work!
The way you partly inlaid the snowflake and left gaps in the center creates a very stunning effect! And all that shimmer and sparkle is just delicious!
You did an amazing job with the negative space and I really love all the sparkle on your snowflake! Gorgeous card!
Lovely snowflake and great colour choice. Love the depth and touch of bling. Thanks for joining us this week at Just us Girls.
This is gorgeous… love that touch of twinkle too!

So sparkly and pretty! Love the frosty blue and all the shimmer! So glad you joined us at CASology this week!
Oooh, your using my favourite colours again!! What a brilliant CASE of Aimes’ card. Love that big snowflake and how its partially inlaid, gives it a wonderful effect. Hope all is coming together for you with your Christmas preparations. I’m way behind, thank goodness for internet and late night shopping!!
Anita…I love your stunning snowflake! And your choice of color is fabulous. And to top all that off, you inlaid the snowflake too! and the bit of bling is just the perfect way to finish off an classy Christmas card.
That is one cool jumbo flake! Love all the depth you achieved with your embedding trick.
Oh my…gorgeous card, Anita. I’ve been shying away from buying this snowflake set, but when I see how ‘big’ and beautiful it is, I feel my ‘rubber arm’ being twisted. Stunning…absolutely show-stopping stunning!
Hugs~c
Simply stunning! You truly are a crafting genius dear friend….which is totally evident in what you did with the snowflake! Seriously! Leaving out some of the inlaid pieces and popping up the center is so cleverly creative and looks soooooooo good! Yep – Carol called it – definitely a show stopper!
So pretty – that partially inlaid die-cut! And the subtle sparkle looks fabulous! Amazing how you managed to combine all those challenges – well done!
WOW…this is stunning…I so luv the gorgeous snowflake! I am thrilled you played along with Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge!
sparkle & shine *~*
This is gorgeous, Anita! I love how you inlaid the snowflakes and then took some pieces out – such a cool look! Thanks for playing along with CASology this week!
How magnificent, LOVE how you have partial inlaid the snowflake, totally pinned Anita!
Love the dramatic snowflake. So stunning. Thank you so much for joining us at CASology and Uniko this week.
Your inlaid die cut is gorgeous Anita! My, you are so talented 😊
This is beautiful. I love how you inlaid your snowflake but had it pop up in the middle. Just noticed that the center of your snowflake is a 6 pointed star, which means that with a different sentiment, this would pass for a Chanukah card. Clever you!
The inlaid and layered effect created by the snowflake is mind blowing 🙂 love it!
