My Papercraft World

Time Out DT #24, SSS Monday – 2 February, SSS Wednesday – 4 February, SSS Work It Wednesday – January 2015

We have a fabulous challenge for you at Time Out this fortnight … our theme is ‘CASE With your Own Twist’ … and the designer we’re CASEing is the challenge owning, community creating, amazing and talented Kylie from Kylie Is Addicted To Stamps And More!  Here’s my take …

and here’s Kylie’s deliciously bright and spring like card …

I was inspired by the lovely blooms and all that glorious white space … and my twist was to add a touch of dramatic black in the chevron DP (yes, I used DP!), that came from the Lake House stash (sorry, BABES, don’t know who to attribute it to!).  I cut the DP to size, adhered it to the card base and added a black card strip that’d been white embossed with a sentiment from Annabelle Stamps (sadly now closed).  The blooms and leaves are from Avery Elle, stamped and die cut (apart from the lower leaves that were stamped direct to the card base), arranged in a little posy on the DP/card base, and adhered on different depths of foam dots.  I used a black fineliner to define the flower centres and added a touch of black Stickles over the top.

So, how will you CASE Kylie‘s card … and what will be your twist?  There’s inspiration galore from our fabulous Guest Designer, the lovely Sarah at Sazzle Dazzle … and from our wonderful Design Team over at Time Out … have a meander over and enjoy exploring!  I do hope you’ll find some time to have some fun and play along … look forward to seeing you in the gallery!

January’s been a crazy month in my world, and I’m slowly catching up on everything blog related that passed me by amid all the busy-ness.  So if I owe you an email or haven’t responded to a particular comment yet, I’m really sorry … I will get there … an extra day in the week (perhaps between Saturday and Sunday) would help a lot … if any of you could arrange that, I’d be so grateful!  As always, thanks so much for coming by, your visits and comments are always a joy!  Anita 🙂
