Muse #108, Hero Arts – Spring, A Blog Named Hero – 11 March, A2Z Scrapbooking – March, SSS Monday – 9 March

Hello my friends!  After a marathon weekend catch up session to enjoy and be inspired by what everyone’s been doing for the last week, I managed to squeeze in a little card making time …

Muse 108, HA Spring, ABNH 11-3, A2Z March, SSSM 9-3I used a Hero Arts stencil and a couple of Distress Inks to sponge the background onto a white card panel, which was then edged with black and adhered to the card base.  A separate panel was stamped randomly with images from Papertrey‘s Doodlie Do and one bloom was coloured with the same Distress Inks as the background … and Wink Of Stella’d.   I split and trimmed the floral panel to size, and used it as a guide to stamp the sentiment (also Doodlie Do) direct onto the stencilling.  The panel was then popped up on foam tape.  It’s a bit busier than my usual style, but I rather like it … and I’ll bet if all the white space was squashed together, it’d make up a good chunk of the card!!

I’m playing along with

Muse … rushing in at the last minute but I really wanted to play … my lovely and ultra talented friend, Michele (I Card Everyone) has made a gorgeous card to inspire us … check it out below … you’ll see what I mean!

Hero Arts Spring Challenge – Nature … I used a Hero Arts stencil rather than a stamp … hope that’s ok … if not, feel free to delete!

A Blog Named Hero – Bright and Bold … it’s a while since I joined in … think sunny yellows count!

A2Z Scrapbooking – Colour It In … again, hope it’s ok to have used a Hero Arts stencil and not a stamp … delete if it’s not!

SSS Monday – B is for … blooms on my floral panel!

Hope you got chance to enjoy some time in your crafty space this weekend!  Thanks so much for coming by, your visits and comments are always a joy!  Anita 🙂

I love that you colored only one flower, Anita. It ties in with the background but stands out from it. It’s a great card for Muse, and all the other challenges.

….ummmmm…..”I rather like it too”! But I’m gonna one-up you and bump it up to ‘love it’. Love ow you’ve split the panel and tucked the sentiment in between. Nice touch with just a single colored flower!

I honestly don’t see ‘busy’ here….the images are quite detailed but a simple color combo and lots of breathing room between the images, creates an ‘open’ feel. Gorgeous card pal!

Sunny colours and such a great take in the Muse card. The one coloured flower just pops and that is all the colour needed with the stencil background x

You’ve self-created a fabulous patterned base paper, Anita – who needs to buy this stuff? The split panel has given the most wonderful spot for your sweet sentiment. I couldn’t be happier to see you’ve played cards with me at Muse this week…. I love it when you Doodlie-Do… merci!

    Hi Anita!
I love seeing this cheery yellow stenciled background on your signature CS. It is such a pretty compliment to the b & w Doodlie Do florals. I love how you have coloured the big bloom, reminding me of a sun and you continue to amaze with your sentiment placements. Such a clever detail 🙂
I do hope that your sun has been shining down on your little corner of the world!

So sunny and bright. Love your background, and the way you used that PTI Doodlie Do stamp. It looks wonderful with just a bit colored in, and I really like how you split your panel for your sentiment.

I sometimes feel that I comment more than I make cards but I love to see what everyone is up to and there is nothing better than leaving encouraging comments for people. I certainly always love it!! No, its not your usual card but it totally says ‘Anita’ somehow. I LOVE those floral stamps in black ink, they are so crisp and modern. And black with yellow (and white) is always a happy combo. Gorgeous card and can imagine Michele will be so happy with your inspiration!!

Anita, I need one of those marathon weekends to catch up on blogs, but I’m glad I at least got some time tonight to catch up on your fabulous creations. Your cards consistently have me thinking “What a fabulous idea!”, but this one in particular totally stopped me in my tracks. I love the bright colors, the way you split the panel, the way you colored just one flower yellow….I love it all!
