We’ve arrived at the half way point in our latest fabulous challenge at Time Out … this fortnight we’re CASEing the wonderfully talented Kim from Art Keeps Me Sane. Kim’s inspiration is bold and dramatic, with the softness of a floral cascade (see below) … here’s my latest take …and here’s Kim‘s lovely inspiration …
This week, I went with the black base (generously spritzed with Shimmer Spray), white embossed sentiment (Papertrey) and a trimmed out panel of watercoloured white embossed Doodlie-Doo blooms (also Papertrey), which were popped up over the black.
Have you joined in already? If so, feel free to come back again for seconds (a Michele-ism!) … if not, I do hope you’ll be able to find some time to play along with us! We’re sponsored this fortnight by Clearly Besotted Stamps and our overall winner (as voted by the DT) will receive a £20 gift voucher, as well as the chance to be a Guest Designer for a future challenge … what’s not to love? There’s inspiration galore over at the Time Out blog … from our fabulous DT and from our delightful and talented Guest Designer, Claire from Life On The Scrapheap (go check out her blog and drink in all the deliciousness you find there!). Look forward to seeing you in the gallery!
I’m playing along with …
Less Is More – Predominantly Black
Virginia’s View – Layers and Dimension
SSS Monday – A is for … in my case, April Flowers!
SSS Work It Wednesday – Stamp

I absolutely adore those doodlie flowers, Anita… you’ve coloured them so beautifully and your fussy cutting is so clean and perfect. I’ve had this Time Out printed out on my craft table since its premier. Can’t get over how gorgeous Kim’s card is! Look’s like I’ve got a bit more time… thinking cap on!! What I wouldn’t give to have a Clearly Besotted prize!! xo

Wow Anita, this is a beautiful card! I love the black base as it makes those beautiful flowers just pop! Hugs, Brenda
Wow! I love the composition of your card Anita. All of your details are exquisite. The frame that you drew, joining with the watercoloured blossoms, like one…so artfully arranged and softly blended like they are sprouting from the corner. The sentiment has her perfect place too! Love :))
Stunning! Love the doodled flowers combined with the black base – such a beautiful composition 🙂
I love your watercolored Doodlie Do flowers! They really reflect the cascade of flowers on Kim’s card beautifully!
Such a beautiful take on Kim’s card, Anita! I love your water colored blooms and the lovely font on the sentiment! Stunning card, as always!
Such a pretty take on Kim’s card 🙂 Love the colors n stamps you picked
Stunning! Absolutely perfectly balanced with water colored images that absolutely rock the black background! The contrast is dynamic, but in a soft way! Your embossed sentiment is flawless! The shimmer spray seems to have added some cool texture – either that or it’s the way that you photographed the card. WOWZERS pal!
Holy fabulousness on a piece of card stock! That corner of bright blooms is fantastic! Those PTI mandala blooms are so cool!
beautifully done, anita… love the way the flowers pop against the black background!
This is gorgeous Anita, I love that floral panel!

So pretty and dramatic, your card! The black background brings out the delicate nature of your flowers! Amazing, as always, Anita!
The case card is so pretty, but your use of the bold black background took this design from simply pretty to strikingly awesome. Combine the bright colors in the floral stamping and you have a real winner in this beautiful card. The tiny dewdrop embellies were perfect on this piece that looks as though it should be in a frame! TFS & Hugs
AWESOME card, Anita! I love your color choices. AMAZING!
Wow, so sorry that I am so far behind on your blog. This baby is drop dead gorgeous. I love how you’ve got so much contrast going on, and that water colored panel is spectacular. Pinning this one for further study and CASing.
