Winnie & Walter Guest Designer – April/May 2015 Release – Day 4

apr-may-2015--release-no.8-640Thanks so much for all your visits and lovely comments during Winnie & Walter‘s April/May Release … you’ve been wonderful!  Today sees the finale … and tonight all the gorgeous new goodies you’ve been seeing will be available … so you might want to get that wish list planned!!  I’ve had such a brilliant time playing with everything … and still have heaps of ideas for using them all.  A huge thank you to Shay and Julie for inviting me to guest design with them and the DT … it’s been an honour and a delight to work with you!    Now, just wait till you see what we have in store for you today … two sets featuring geometric faceted shapes, including sentiments with a beautiful font (My Precious and True), Mini Scenery: Multifaceted, a little Sparkle set and a Cutaway (die) … Cover Model: Multifaceted.  I’ve four cards to show you …

W&W April May 2015 Day 4 Multifaceted SparkleThis is Mini Scenery: Multifaceted … isn’t it gorgeous?  I embossed it with Liquid Platinum EP, trimmed it out and coloured it with Distress Inks … with a topping of Perfect Pearls to give it some shimmer.  It’s layered onto a black mat and has a vellum sentiment banner (from the Sparkle set), so the panel is still visible underneath.  I scattered some silvery seed beads onto it and adhered them where they fell (so random!) and popped the whole panel up on foam tape on the card base.

W&W April May 2015 Day 4 Cutaway MultifacetedHere’s the Cover Model:Multifaceted … I love it!  I sponged Distress Inks onto it to create an ombré look and double heat embossed the whole thing using clear shimmer EP.  The sentiment (a mixture of True and Precious), was stamped in Versafine onto a slip of vellum and heat embossed with the same EP.  I fixed the ends of the vellum to the back of the Cover Model and adhered the finished panel to the base card.  This card could be good for a guy or girl … depending on where it goes, I may add some bling! W&W April May 2015 Day 4 Precious SparkleI white embossed the large diamond (from Precious), trimmed it out and added copious layers of Wink of Stella … it’s so hard to capture on a photo … but IRL it’s all shimmery and sparkly, as a diamond should be!   The sentiment (a mixture of Precious and Sparkle sets) was embossed onto a grey panel, which was outlined in white and mounted onto a white mat.  The shimmery diamond was popped up above the sentiment and the whole thing was popped up on foam dots on the base.  Those of you who are regular visitors here may just be a bit taken aback, given that this card base is grey and not white … I was!  However, I wanted the diamond to really shine and take centre stage, so went for the monochrome look!

W&W April May 2015 Day 4 True PreciousMy final card … here, I gold embossed the star (from True), trimmed it out and watercoloured it with Picked Raspberry Distress Ink, creating different shades by adding more or less water to each facet.  The sentiment (a mixture of True and Precious) was gold embossed onto a white panel, I did a little splattering with the ink that was left on my mat (me, splattering?!), wound a gold thread nest, popped the star up on foam dots over it and attached the panel flat to the card base.

So, it’s the end of my time as Guest Designer with Winnie & Walter … I’ve loved it … and do hope you’ve enjoyed the week here.  I’ll be delighted if you’ve found some inspiration among my projects … and/or among those of the DT and other GDs.  Don’t forget, you still have chance to win giveaways … there’s the Big Giveaway and there’s also a giveaway for each of the four Premiere days … all the details are at the Winnie & Walter blog.  You can also check out the final day’s inspiration from the Design Team and the other Guest Designers while you’re there!

Thanks so much for your company, encouragement and support this week … as ever, your visits and comments are always a joy!  Anita 🙂

Wow again Anita! Your cards are amazing! I love that you stepped out of your comfort box with the grey base on your third card and the splattering on your fourth card, they look amazing! I love the ombre effect on your second card, looks like it sparkles too. Why is sparkle so hard to capture on camera?! I love the colors in the first card with that pearly finish, so pretty. You always knock my socks off Anita, but this week you have knocked my shoes and socks off! lol Hugs, Brenda

I think this is my favourite part of the release. I’m so in love with the multi faceted stamp and die and just love how you used them. Was wondering how you got the die so shiny, was thinking you had maybe covered it in Glossy Accents (what a job that would be!!), so I’m glad to read you embossed it twice. Fantastic effect! Might have to start saving up for these two items!! You’ve done a fabulous job as Guest Designer and I’m sure you will probably end up as part of DT at some stage. You’ve done them proud with your designs and I’ve loved seeing them all. Now on to the Leading Lady posts!!

Oh, Anita! These are wonderful! I’ve been catching up on your posts tonight…I’ve missed so much! 😦 I am thrilled that you had the opportunity to guest for this release. I’m sorry I’ve been away so long. Life has been a bit crazy here…still adjusting to two kids and my grandfather’s health is declining. Visiting your blog this evening has brought me so much happiness and lots of smiles.
