Happy Birthday, Sandie! AAA Cards #39, SSS Monday 11/5, SSS Wednesday 13/5

There’s a party going on!  If I added ‘right here’, d’you think that song would be in your head all day (oh, sorry … have I done that already?!).  Actually, you need to go over to Kylie’s place (Kylie is Addicted to Stamps) for the party … we’re celebrating the birthday of the lovely, talented, generous, enthusiastic, super organised, commenter extra-ordinaire, Sandie of London Days!   It’s a pretty sure thing you’ve met Sandie during your travels … she’s on Design Teams at Addicted to Stamps, Inkspirational and Uniko Studio … and is owner at Time Out (where I’m proud to be on her DT!).  Why not join in the party via Mr Linky over at Kylie‘s … and pop over for an inspiring and wonderful visit with Sandie … you’ll have a fabulous time!   Happy, Happy Birthday, my friend … wishing you the most wonderful day and a year filled with love, fun, laughter and an abundance of all good things!   I made you this …

Happy Birthday Sandie, AAA Cards 39, SSSM 11-5, SSSW 13-5Rather than CASE Sandie, I wanted to make a card that reflected elements of her signature style … vibrant colours, tons of glorious textured white space, a scattering of dots, wonderfully CAS … and one of her favourite layouts.  Here, I stamped some Avery Elle Brush Strokes in yummy spring colours, overlapping them slightly … and added a light touch of Wink of Stella for a delicate shimmer.  The SSS sentiment (split to fit over the brush strokes) was heat embossed over the colours, I scattered the little clusters of dots around it and popped the finished panel up on foam dots on the base card.  Your card’s winging it’s way to you as we speak, Sandie!

In addition, Sandie’s card is flying over to …

AAA Cards – Birthday (it’s their 1st anniversary … they’re celebrating … congratulations!)

SSS Monday – Simon Brand Exclusives (my sentiment)

SSS Wednesday – Inspiration Colour Swatch (see below … how yummy are those sweet cupcakes … perfect for Sandie’s birthday celebration!)

Thanks to Kylie, Sarah G (Funky Fossil) and Sarah P (Sazzle Dazzle)) for organising the party … and to Kylie for hosting it … it was lovely to be invited to share in the celebration!  Look forward to seeing you all a little later as I meander through blogland being inspired by what you’ve been creating this week!  Thanks so much for coming by, your visits and comments are always a joy!  Anita 🙂

Where do I begin–this card is so perfect in every way. Love how you used those paint swishes, the sentiment looks wonderful placed just perfectly atop those stripes, and you have done it again with your little embellies–each one is so very perfectly placed.

What an adorable card you’ve made here! I am in love with the yummy Sherbert-y looking color palette you used and it looks perfect with the bold sentiment. I also like how you tied in the black with the dots, too. This is a card that would work ideally for so many people and I’m so glad you shared it with us for this week’s Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!

CAS and gorgeous! The enamel dots add just a little something. I have trouble with those and sequins – I don’t know when to stop and sometimes I overdo it, but yours are perfect.
