Time Out DT #33, Just Us Girls #296, Virginia’s View #15, SSS Wednesday 10/6, Less Is More #227

It’s time for our sparkling new challenge at Time Out … this fortnight, we’re Inspired By Words … and the words are ‘happy is the bride that the sun shines on’.  Here’s my take …

Time Out DT 33Time OutI took a couple of the words, ‘sun shines’, and made a sunny card using a long triangle stamp Avery Elle‘s Bright Days in two different yellows.  The AE hello was cut three times, stacked up, and was mounted overlapping a narrow card panel.  I stamped the rest of the sentiment onto the panel and applied plenty of Wink of Stella to it, as well as to the hello and the sun, before adhering the sun flat to the card base and popping the sentiment panel up over it.  Would you like to see some of the shimmer …

Time Out DT 33 DetailWhere does your imagination take you when you hear the words ‘happy is the bride the sun shines on’?  You can use a single word, a selection or even the whole phrase as the inspiration for your card … however the mood takes you!  All the details are over on the Time Out blog, along with a ton of inspiration from our talented Guest Designer, the lovely Sue from Sue’s Card Craft and our amazing DT!  Look forward to seeing you in the gallery!

I’m playing along with …

Just Us Girls – Summer

SSS Wednesday – Friend/Superhero

Simply fabulous Anita – love your crisp stamping and such a classy make.
The colours work perfect with our sunset challenge over at Less is More if you’ve not already linked to more than 5 challenges and although your card says hello sunshine it’s a colour challenge so I’d be happy with your card in the gallery. Sarah x

As the sun rises here, your sunrise brings a smile along with it, Anita… gorgeous stamping – perfect stamp/stamper! Of course those words bring me back to my own rainy wedding day – and, for some reason, the Ziegfeld Girls production of “His love makes me beautiful” scene in Funny Girl! Your card is as fabulous, Anita! Love it…

Your sun ROCKS!!! Your design rocks! The sparkle rocks! The popped up panel creates a ‘sun coming up over the horizon” feel! No doubt about it – this pretty will be showing up in a Winner’s Circle!

What did we do before we had the Wink of Stella??? It makes such a difference, wish I had invented it! Your card is glorious and love the way you stamped the sun with the different colours. And of course it really stands out with all that white framing it. Beautiful card. And thank you so much for your tips on embossing. There are a couple of things I hadn’t heard of that you mentioned, so will give it a go again and let you know how it goes. Really appreciate your help!!!

Love the ‘rays’, I have a stamp like this too, but it didn’t enter my head to use it! Thanks for the inspiration to do so and *loving* the added subtle sparkle. Hugs Bev x

What a lovely, sophisticated card with the shimmery rays and pretty hello! Gorgeous…and speaking of ‘sunny days’ – we’re in a Special Alert state here in Alberta due to unusually high temperatures. The forecast predicts that we’ll be in the range of 30C for the next TWO weeks….gahhhh! Melting and swelter fest! Fingers crossed we’ll return to normal – and comfortable – temps before that (I’m all good between 20-25C). Anyway…love your joy-inducing card!
    Hugs~c
