Time Out DT #35 Mid Challenge Reminder, Virginia’s View #16, Happy Little Stampers – July, SSS Monday 13/7

Our latest challenge at Time Out still has almost a week to run, so if you’ve not played along yet, there’s plenty of time to get creative!  Our theme is ‘Nature’ with the optional twist of animals (including insects) … here’s where my creativity took me this week …

Time Out DT 35RTime OutI masked a card panel and stamped images from Papertrey‘s Filled With Joy set, using the bigger images first and then filling in with the leaves and smaller ones afterwards.  The flower centres were coated with Wink of Stella and dotted with a white gel pen … makes them look a little dimensional IRL.   I stamped part of the sentiment (also from Filled With Joy) and added the ellipsis to draw the eye to the inside … where a large scripty ‘joy’ from the same set was stamped.  The finished panel was popped up on fun foam on the base.

How would you like to play along?  We’d love to have you join in … and show us where ‘Nature’ took you!  This fortnight we have a fabulous sponsor … if you use the optional twist on your card, you’ll be in with a random chance of winning a $25 gift card from CAS-ual Fridays.  In addition, and as usual, our overall winner (as chosen by the DT) will be invited to be a Guest Designer for a future challenge.  All the details are over on the Time Out blog, along with a ton of inspiration from our lovely and talented Guest Designer, Barb from Barb’s Studio Creations and our amazing DT!  Look forward to seeing you in the gallery!

Beautiful stamping and your color combo is so pretty, Anita! Looks like very expensive designer paper…Stunning card!

Anita you have done a fabulous job of masking – which must be just a bit tricky with your gorgeous linen textured base. Love the attention to the perfect placement of all those lovely stamped flowers, which I admit to trying with far less success [mine looked like the dog’s dinner] and Summery colors, to boot! So pretty!

Anita what a lovely design of handmade background paper. The choice of color is right on (as usual) but the addition of the white dots in the center of the flowers is a great touch. Have a great weekend.

That is really textured card stock used for the base, and so pretty. It looks like fine old linen.Love the masked panel with the citrus colors of these beautiful posies, and the way you’ve done the centers of the bold flowers, showed off the ‘stamens’ so special. The little white dots made it look as though the eye was seeing the individual little particles one by one. Perfect card for summer weather, so sunny & cheerful. TFS & Hugs

Love the ‘fresh’ colors! I was sure that you had used DP at first glance because the images are spaced so perfectly! Mission accomplished with the “….” cuz now I want to know what is inside!

So pretty Anita – those citrus colours are just stunning together. I’m amazed how crisp the colours are against that cardstock…you always get such a clean image, despite the grain in it!

  11. Cornelia (fun stamping)

Gorgeous sunny and bright flowers – impeccably stamped, as always! Have a wonderful weekend, Anita!

Loving those citrus colours, makes me think of cocktails and sitting on the beach….I wish!! Perfect stamping too and those stamps are so pretty. Its freezing here today and raining for once, so we have spent the day inside watching kids movies by the fire.

Your stamping and masking is just gorgeous. Love the colors and how you arranged everything. I’m so far behind in my blog reader–just saw you highlighted by Virginia, so had to pop around right away. I’ll be back tomorrow to see the rest of what you’ve been up to in my absence.
