Today, I’m wishing my lovely, fun, enthusiastic, generous and super talented friend and fellow BABE, Geri, the happiest of birthdays! We met … yes, in real life … and she’s just as wonderful, sweet and creative in person as she is in blogland! Just check out her blog, Manitoba Stamper and you’ll see exactly what I mean! So, for you, Geri, my dear friend … Happy, Happy Birthday … may you have the most splendid and fun filled day … and may your year be brim full of love, joy and laughter! I made you this card (which is on it’s way!) …
I die some partial die cutting with the Winnie & Walter ‘happy’ … and white embossed the Neat & Tangled sentiment onto the attached remaining border panel. The die cut then acted as a guide for the circle design. I drew a pencil line round an MFT circle die, stamped the SSS Lots of Dots around the edge of it, and double embossed over the top of each … once in shimmery EP, once in clear. The die cut panel was popped up on foam tape … and I was done! There’s lots of sparkle on those dots … want to see?
The design for this card came from an insurance company advert … there were five (unshimmery) circles looped over the name … figured you’d love that graphic look, Geri! Now I look at it, though, I feel sure I’ve seen something similar in blogland somewhere … if anyone can enlighten me, I’ll edit to add a link and credit!
As well as it flitting across oceans and land masses, Geri’s card is heading to …
Color Throwdown – Lime, Aqua, Light Grey, Dark Grey … I know the aqua looks a smidge blue in the photo … it’s much more turquoise-y than it looks!
Little Tangles – Die Cutting … I used the Neat & Tangled birthday sentiment.
CAS-ual Fridays – Embossing … my second entry
SSS Wednesday – Sparkle and Shine … all those shimmery dots
SSS Work It Wednesday – Die Cutting … first entry
Hope you had a fabulous weekend! Thanks so much for coming by, your visits and comments are always a joy!
