Runway Inspired Challenge #91, Virginia’s View #18, Freshly Made Sketches #202, SSS Monday 31/8

Hello again!  I’m back with my second card from the weekend … rather more bold and graphic than the last … look …

RIC 91, VV 18, FMS 202, SSSM 31-8I sliced up some black and white card, put it together again over an adhesive covered piece of spare card, and trimmed it to size.  The banner is a die cut from SSS (now retired), also cut to size … in length and width.  I used some removable tape to take the little squares from the grid, coloured them randomly with Promarkers, adhered the grid to another strip of card and nestled the the squares cosily into their places.   A loosey goosey (Laura speak!) nest of thread was twirled behind the banner, which was then adhered across the black and white panel.  I stamped the sentiment (Annabelle Stamps, sadly now not operating), the panel was popped up on fun foam and I added a  black sequin and white dot over the nest.

My inspiration for this card came from …

Runway Inspired Challenge – Michael Kors … check out that cool, graphic ensemble below!  I picked out the black and white from the jacket, trousers and walls, my banner mimics the blouse, the thread nest is a nod to the handbag strap, and the sequin/dot combo reflects the belt buckle!

Virginia’s View – Geometric Patterns … both the panel and the banner.

Freshly Made Sketches – Sketch below… it’s fabulous!

SSS Monday – Trio of Colours …  mine were the aqua, lime and black … the black was so key to the design, I counted that as a colour rather than a neutral … hope that’s ok!

That’s it from me for now … time for bed … I’ll be back tomorrow with my final make of the weekend!  Thanks so much for coming by, your visits and comments are always a joy!  Anita 🙂

A clever and WOW card indeed! You really knocked it out of the park for the Runway inspired challenge, mon amie! The contrast of the crisp and colourful panel on the perfect proportion black and white is so striking! Beautiful and clean geometric shapes and the nest of your black twine is, well, perfect :)))
Truly gorgeous and, of course, so we’ll executed! Love this card!

WOW! You ‘sliced’ up a WINNER here Anita! Ya think I love the graphicness (don’t think that is a real word?) of your design! Yes, you’re smiling right now, knowing that I am too!

Your a natural with the “Loosey Goosey” style of creating! After folks see this card, I’m quite sure that “Loosey Goosey” will become THE next card style! CAS, CAG….step away from the spotlight, cuz here comes “Loosey Goosey” (aka LG) 🙂 🙂 🙂

All the on-time people have expressed such marvelous accolades that I’m left rather speechless in what to more to say about your blocked and balanced delight. Yet again, your eye for design is in full focus….love this!
