MFT Colour Challenge #34, The Paper Players #273, SSS Wednesday 25/11

Hello … bonjour!  Hope those of you who celebrated had a wonderful Thanksgiving … and that the left overs are still plentiful and delicious!  Crafting has been taking a bit of a back seat for me recently, but that moment arrived when I simply had to have a little card making fun …

MFT Colour #34, PP 273, SSSW 25-11This sweet MFT snowman was stamped at the Lake House last year (thanks, Bev!) … he’s been in hibernation, patiently waiting to get into the limelight until recently, when he shuffled out onto my desk looking for some company.  His moment of stardom had arrived!  He was coloured with Promarkers and highlighted with Wink of Stella … was set amidst gently falling sparkly snowflakes (courtesy of a stencil from SSS) … and is holding a shimmery, shiny, sweet heart to give away at Christmas.  The sentiment is from SSS … I stamped the lower part first, cut the word into the panel and from black craft foam, and pieced it all back together.  I sponged the edges of the card base and mounted the snowman panel flat against it.  How would you like a look at all his splendid shimmeriness …

MFT Colour #34, PP 273, SSSW 25-11 Detail The observant among you will notice that Monsieur Snowman’s nose is pink rather than the traditional orange … let me explain.  Snowman here is a bit of an individualist and insisted that his ensemble include a little something out of the ordinary … he thought the pink carrot (and they are available!) would do just fine … and would go rather nicely with the pink heart.  It worked for me … the colour palette at MFT included pink and not orange, so I was more than happy to let him have his way (but don’t let him know that, he’d become impossible!).

Monsieur Snowman was inspired by …

MFT Colour Challenge – After Midnight, Field Green, Sweet Tooth, Tickled Pink

The Paper Players – Tic Tac Toe (I chose Snowflake, Sparkle or Shine, Punch or Die Cut)

SSS Wednesday – Anything Goes

I’ve not had chance to do much visiting this week, so there are lots of lovely cards waiting for me in my Feedly list … off for some wonderful inspiration!  Thanks so much for coming by, your visits and comments are always a joy!  Anita 🙂

Love this Anita! I have this cute guy and the die set! I need to be using them too! Yay for you! In the last year or so, we’ve been able to get packs of what they call rainbow carrots! I haven’t noticed pink but there’s a dark purple and I can’t remember what else. How fun you changed him up!

I like independent snowmen and I would rather have a pink carrot nose than an orange one – I don’t like the color orange. Well this is one cute snowman and happy you received such a cute image last year. Hoping all is well in your neck of the woods. Hugs, Barb

Now this little sweetie is really adorable…love the sparkly coloring and the pink carrot is fabulous. They’ve been showing up in our markets for a while now…have to try them. On your snowman it is perfect. Very handsome in this color combo.

Sweet snow fellla! GORGEOUS coloring – you are rocking these markers – love his pink nose and heart. I’m thinking that the snow girls are gonna love a guy who is brave enough to wear pink and once the other snow boys see how much the ladies love the pink, they will be lined up for a touch-up color from your markers! PERFECT match-up on the popped up sentiment!

Wonderful snowman card. I like that he has a mind of his own and wanted to stay within the MFT colors this week. And, he was rewarded for his patience–waiting all these months to be colored and glittered up.

Obviously the hibernation gave Snowy time to color coordinate his outfit, and did he ever shine! I LOVE his pink nose. The cold probably did that for him..(makes my nose red!) Love the cool colors of his outfit, and he is just ready for the season’s fun. TFS & Hugs. Have a great week too.

Nothing wrong with pink carrots Anita – he just has a genetically modified nose! Love how you’ve created that sentiment – it totally pops against the white!

Okay, I love this. Lots. Especially how you popped the sentiment up with the black craft foam. And all these fun stamps from the Lakehouse made me want to know what it was…so I went back and boy, did that trip (and especially the company) look wonderful!

I rather like that pink nose (although I’ve never seen a pink carrot) and the black foam under the word die makes it really stand out. I love the falling snow and little pink heart, Anita. Wonderful, heartwarming card.
