Hello … bonjour! Hope those of you who celebrated had a wonderful Thanksgiving … and that the left overs are still plentiful and delicious! Crafting has been taking a bit of a back seat for me recently, but that moment arrived when I simply had to have a little card making fun …
This sweet MFT snowman was stamped at the Lake House last year (thanks, Bev!) … he’s been in hibernation, patiently waiting to get into the limelight until recently, when he shuffled out onto my desk looking for some company. His moment of stardom had arrived! He was coloured with Promarkers and highlighted with Wink of Stella … was set amidst gently falling sparkly snowflakes (courtesy of a stencil from SSS) … and is holding a shimmery, shiny, sweet heart to give away at Christmas. The sentiment is from SSS … I stamped the lower part first, cut the word into the panel and from black craft foam, and pieced it all back together. I sponged the edges of the card base and mounted the snowman panel flat against it. How would you like a look at all his splendid shimmeriness …
The observant among you will notice that Monsieur Snowman’s nose is pink rather than the traditional orange … let me explain. Snowman here is a bit of an individualist and insisted that his ensemble include a little something out of the ordinary … he thought the pink carrot (and they are available!) would do just fine … and would go rather nicely with the pink heart. It worked for me … the colour palette at MFT included pink and not orange, so I was more than happy to let him have his way (but don’t let him know that, he’d become impossible!).
Monsieur Snowman was inspired by …
MFT Colour Challenge – After Midnight, Field Green, Sweet Tooth, Tickled Pink
The Paper Players – Tic Tac Toe (I chose Snowflake, Sparkle or Shine, Punch or Die Cut)
SSS Wednesday – Anything Goes
I’ve not had chance to do much visiting this week, so there are lots of lovely cards waiting for me in my Feedly list … off for some wonderful inspiration! Thanks so much for coming by, your visits and comments are always a joy! Anita 🙂
Anita you are a hoot! Love the card with all the sparkly love…..and the pink carrot nose 😉
Love this Anita! I have this cute guy and the die set! I need to be using them too! Yay for you! In the last year or so, we’ve been able to get packs of what they call rainbow carrots! I haven’t noticed pink but there’s a dark purple and I can’t remember what else. How fun you changed him up!
I love this dapper little frosty fella with his pink nose!! Darling card Anita!!
Your snowman is gorgeous Anita and love his pink nose and heart. The frost is the icing on the cake (so to speak!!! lol.)
Hugs.

Well isn’t he adorable? Love those tiny smidgens of pink!
Oh my goodness this is just sooooo sweet. That snowman looks like he’s so happy to be under the falling snow. Adorbs!
I like independent snowmen and I would rather have a pink carrot nose than an orange one – I don’t like the color orange. Well this is one cute snowman and happy you received such a cute image last year. Hoping all is well in your neck of the woods. Hugs, Barb
Love the sparkly snow and pink carrots? We get purple ones here and I buy them sometimes…well how can I resist some purple on my plate! Never heard of pink though, however looks fab for his nose!! Have a good Sunday xx
I have to say, Monsieur Snowman is absolutely adorable all dressed up in those beautiful colors, complete with sparkle and a pink nose! Love him! I also love how you added dimension with your die cut sentiment…Gorgeous card, Anita!
By the way…if you’re interested, the current Code Word at Addicted to CAS challenge is ‘Dimension’…tons of prizes up for grabs, too ~ http://www.addictedtocas.blogspot.com.au/2015/11/its-our-3rd-birthday-challenge-77.html
Now this little sweetie is really adorable…love the sparkly coloring and the pink carrot is fabulous. They’ve been showing up in our markets for a while now…have to try them. On your snowman it is perfect. Very handsome in this color combo.
Sweet snow fellla! GORGEOUS coloring – you are rocking these markers – love his pink nose and heart. I’m thinking that the snow girls are gonna love a guy who is brave enough to wear pink and once the other snow boys see how much the ladies love the pink, they will be lined up for a touch-up color from your markers! PERFECT match-up on the popped up sentiment!
Such a sweet card made for fun too, I haven’t had time for that myself recently and hoping that 2016 magically brings me some more ‘time’ lol. ps love that added sparkle!
Well, I am so pleased that the snowman came out to play…hope to see more of him this December (wink!!). I love the glitter details ( a MUST for holiday season!). And thank you, Anita, for your unwavering support and kindness about my challenge blog and Dr. John’s travel posts. Hope to visit your blog soon again! Thanks so much for playing Simon Says Stamp Wednesday “Anything Goes” Challenge!
….forgot to say how much I love the black card stock underneath the sentiment die! LOVE it!
Wonderful snowman card. I like that he has a mind of his own and wanted to stay within the MFT colors this week. And, he was rewarded for his patience–waiting all these months to be colored and glittered up.
Such a gorgeous card! Love your cute snowman with the sweet little heart & those pretty snowflakes are the perfect touch!
Anita, I love your shimmery, adorable snowman! How he holds this tiny pink heart has melted my mine! You are the master of sweet details and shimmer!
Obviously the hibernation gave Snowy time to color coordinate his outfit, and did he ever shine! I LOVE his pink nose. The cold probably did that for him..(makes my nose red!) Love the cool colors of his outfit, and he is just ready for the season’s fun. TFS & Hugs. Have a great week too.
Love your card Anita and how you have used the colors!
Great use of the pink for the details. It makes the whole image pop!
Love your take on the color challenge! The pink nose is perfect and I love the sparkle and the snow!
That sparkly snowman is too cute! How sweet, that tiny little heart he’s holding! Love what you do with those word dies! Have to remember that……. Do you celebrate Thanksgiving in France????
Monsieur Snowman looks very handsome with his fashionable pink carrot nose! [I happen to adore the dark red carrots, too!] OH I do believe that is MY heart he has captured – this is just darling, Anita… LOve the dark layer to your stack of dies … really makes those wishes pop!

Ooh I love this Anita! I’m so happy your snowman came out to play. I love the colors, the bit of sparkle, and the pink carrot! So glad you played along with my tic tac toe challenges at The Paper Players!
Nothing wrong with pink carrots Anita – he just has a genetically modified nose! Love how you’ve created that sentiment – it totally pops against the white!
This little guy is way too cute and your picture captured the shimmer perfectly! Love the snow in the background !
M. Snowman is so cute, Anita! He looks very coordinated with his pink nose and heart. Your layered die cutting across the stamping is impressive – must remember to do that 🙂
Love that precious sparkly snowman Anita! So cute and his pink nose rocks!
Okay, I love this. Lots. Especially how you popped the sentiment up with the black craft foam. And all these fun stamps from the Lakehouse made me want to know what it was…so I went back and boy, did that trip (and especially the company) look wonderful!
I rather like that pink nose (although I’ve never seen a pink carrot) and the black foam under the word die makes it really stand out. I love the falling snow and little pink heart, Anita. Wonderful, heartwarming card.
What a charming fellow your snowman is, sporting his very stylish pink nose and cozy blue/green shimmery scarf. The wishing die cut: on my *wish* list *grin* Of course, the wee heart is a delight; the perfect special touch! Mr. Snowman has me smiling!
Hugs~c
