Hello … bonjour! Welcome back to Time Out … we’re looking forward in 2016 to continuing to bring you fun and fabulous challenges, super talented Designers to CASE and wonderful Guest Designers … and of course, lots of inspiration from the amazing Design Team! This fortnight, we have a Theme challenge with (new for this year) an optional Technique Twist … Birthday with the option of sponging. Sponging is one of my favourite techniques … however, as I did a lot of it before Christmas, I’m having a change and going optionless …
… and rather less CAS than usual! This card was made for a friend who appreciates a little more activity on her cards than CAS allows … and as it was hand delivered, I didn’t need to worry about putting it in the mail (although it does fold flat(ish) to fit into a standard envelope). The blooms are from MFT … die cut and stamped, with the tiny ones Stickled to add sparkle. I hand cut and scored some card for the vase and trimmed it with a smidge of shimmery washi tape, before arranging/layering the flowers into it. The finished bouquet/vase was adhered onto a MFT pierced rectangle (another of Bev‘s Lake House goodies 🙂 ) over a DP mat … and I fixed the whole thing to the card base with foam tape. The sentiment’s from SSS, stamped onto a hand cut banner and attached flat, overhanging the edges of the vase.
How about playing along with us … we’d love it if you did! For those who twist and sponge (sounds like a good post-Christmas workout!), there’ll be a random draw for a £15 evoucher from Uniko … and as usual, the winner, as voted for by the DT, will be invited to guest design with us for a future challenge! There’s lots of inspiration over at the Time Out blog, from our talented (and returning from July!) Guest Designer, Rema from Paper Panache … and from our fabulous Design Team. Hope to see you in the gallery!
