Hello … bonjour! Have you seen Kay Miller‘s gorgeous card that we’re CASEing at Time Out at the moment … it’s a stunner (a little further down). Here’s my second take on it …
… here’s Kay‘s beauty …
This time, I tried to capture the essence of Kay‘s card with some different images … stayed faithful to the CAS look, general layout and those gorgeous colours … and twisted with some stencilling, heat embossing and dry embossing/die cutting. I partially sponged a white card panel with Distress Ink over a Hero Arts stencil, stamped the SSS sentiment in the same colour, silver heat embossed a Mama Elephant flourish to act as the butterfly trail (it’s part of a big word!) and die cut the panel with a Winnie & Walter pierced/scalloped rectangle. The Uniko butterfly was silver heat embossed onto vellum, I coloured it on both sides with Promarkers so the pinks were good and bright, trimmed it out (including those delicate antennae!) and adhered it over the stencilling, allowing the antennae and wings to fly free. The finished panel was popped up on craft foam onto the card base. How about a detail shot of all the shine …
It’s going to be difficult to resist CASEing Kay‘s card isn’t it … first off, it’s gorgeous … and second, there are so many wonderful elements to it that you can use to inspire you. We’d love to see you link up what you create to our gallery! All the details are over at the Time Out blog, along with plenty of delicious ideas from our fabulous DT, and from our lovely and talented Guest Designer, Marlena from Marlena is Faithfully Crafting. Hope to see you there!
