MFT Summer Camp … and Other Fun!

Hello … bonjour … hope your weekend was a fabulous one!  I had some playtime, got creative and made a few cards … two to share here and two for later (maybe tomorrow, depending on the Time Eating Monster) … I’ll keep it short and sweet!  Here’s the first … a sweet little pretty …

MFT Summer Camp - Glitter, MFT Colour 47, CAS Mix Up - June, TESJ 40Randomly stamped leaves and blooms (MFT), with the flower heads coated with sugary clear glitter (seen better zoomed in!), a little fine black pen doodling, a die cut hello (SSS) stacked on fun foam, and a stamped supplementary sentiment (WPlus9).   I was inspired by this card from Mayuri … it’s bolder, more dramatic and she used a different technique, but you can see how it prompted me.

Here’s the second … a rather dapper chap …

MFT Summer Camp - Die Cutting, HLS Dies - June, PP 300, SSSW 15-6A lightly sponged card panel mounted over black, a bird of paradise (MFT) coloured with Promarkers and perched atop a Winnie & Walter die cut (both on foam), and some tiny supplementary sentiments (SSS) nestled into the word.

My floral number is heading to …

MFT Color Challenge – In The Buff, Coral Crush, Gumdrop Green, Blueberry … my closest

sure looks like you did have some fun at the weekend. I love the random stamping, something I just can’t seem to get to work, the soft colours make a great contrast with the bold sentiment. And he really is a dapper chappie and the soft sponging looks great behind the sentiment x

I love the little background number, Anita, and of course the bird makes me smile. You may not have much time but you sure fill a lot of challenge requirements with few cards.

What a charming duo. LOVE that floral card…like to have a dress or top made out of that print. The sparkles are the perfect enhancement…and then there’s the bird. Wow! So beautifully colored. Aren’t we lucky that nature provides such inspiration. These two are such winners. You’re truly amazing.

Two totally delightful cards, Anita! I love how you described your first one as a ‘sweet little pretty’…so true! And, I love how you added all the wonderful sparkle to the blooms! And your darling bird perched on top of the die cut sentiment is too cute! As always, you have also done an amazing job combining challenges 🙂

What a great combo of challenges – those pretty blooms are so delicate behind the bold, black sentiment and I love how you’ve perched the little bird on top of the letters on the sweet! (Or tweet if you want a pun!)

These cards are fabulous, Anita. I so enjoy a good random stamped card and your first one is a delight. I love that you took the time to doodle a bit on them. Adds just a great touch. They are so sparkly too, and who doesn’t love a good sparkle? Ohh and your second with the bird. that one makes me all happy, too! Beautifully colored and ink blended. So well done! Thanks for sharing! 🙂 Hugs!

  21. Petra

Oh, these are so different, but both, fabulous, Anita!!! Love your sweet little flowers stamped randomly with cleverly added doodling – so lovely!!! …and so pretty with the sparkle!!!! Beautiful!!! And the little chap sitting so happily on the sentiment of the second card, is just the sweetest little thing!!! Love how you have coloured him and how you have done the subtle sponging!!!! And how you’ve done the sentiment is so lovely – it looks great with the small stamping and the die cut word!!!! Love both of these, my friend!!!!

  22. Brenda Lawrence

Oh my Anita, I am so loving your first card! I can see how you got inspired, but seriously I love your card better! Your glittered blooms really complete the card and of course the doodling dots in black just make everything pop! Love, love, love! Your second card is simply to cute! Love how you did the sentiment, will have to keep that tuck in my mind. Trouble is once it is tucked in it gets lost! lol Another fabulous card my friend. Hugs, Brenda

  23. Joanne James

Two lovely cards Anita! I especially like the subtle sponging behind your white diecut on the second card – and your bird is so funny! Thanks for joining us over at The Paper Players this week for our 300th celebrations!

  25. Nance Leedy

Beautiful cards, Anita! I love the way your die cut sentiment pops off the lightly sponged background. So much dimension for a CAS card. So glad you could celebrate PP300 with us at The Paper Players!

Wowzers girl…one dazzler after another! These two creations are spectacular! AWESOME stamped background on the first card – love the colors and love the sparkle!

2nd card – LOVE IT! The colors and the ink blending is gorgeous. The wee ‘happy’s’ and ‘birthday’ steal the show! Totally an awesome idea and so perfectly placed!!!

  27. Izzy Scrap

Superbes cartes Anita ! Je vois que ce “superbe” WE pluvieux t’a laissé le temps de faire de magnifiques cartes ! J’adore l’oiseau du paradis et les couleurs que tu as choisies, un peu de couleurs par ces temps si gris !

  28. Cornelia (fun stamping)

Awesome cards, especially the bird card – he is too cute and those teeny tiny sentiment – just perfect! And your first card – looks like you created some pretty background designer paper! Glad you linked up your bird card with HLS – ,cause its definitely my favorite! Thanks for playing along!!!

  29. Ann Schach

Both cards are absolutely awesome! The first card is so pretty with the shine on the flowers, while the second card is so cute. I LOVE how you cut the sentiment and bird from foam for added dimension. Thank you for joining The Paper Players in our 300th challenge!

  30. cmayne

Yes, the first is definitely a ‘sweet pretty’ with the lovely random stamped florals that would give any designer paper a run for its money! And your dapper chap is, indeed, that; handsome and proud standing watch in his ‘happy, happy, happy’ paradise!
