Hello … bonjour! Hope you’ve found some time to be creative this week! We have a fabulous new challenge for you today at Time Out … our theme is ‘Designer to CASE’ … and our designer is the amazing, uber talented and delighful Therese Calvird from Lost in Paper … if you don’t know Therese already, you really need to go for a visit! You truly don’t want to miss out on the oodles of delicious cards on offer … nor on the most brilliant videos where you can watch how Therese works her magic! The card Therese has given us to CASE is a little further down … here’s my take on it …
and here’s Therese‘s beauty …
I was struck by those beautiful blooms, so used them as my inspiration. Mine are ranunculus from Stampendous, white heat embossed on vellum, watercoloured with Zigs and trimmed out. The water caused my flowers to become a little curvy … so I took advantage of the dimension that created and adhered them to the card just at the centres so the edges would be ‘free’. The sentiment is from SSS, stamped in grey, I added a few strips of DP along the fold edge as a nod to the stripes Therese used in her background … and finished with a scattering of clear drops.
Aren’t you already itching to get going on your CASE? You can use any or all of the elements in Therese‘s card for your focus … and when you’ve finished, we’d love it if you would link up your work to our gallery! This particular challenge is running for one week only … Mr Linky’s doors will close next Wednesday, 6 July at 5.00pm BST … normal fortnightly service will be resumed from then on! All the details are over at the Time Out blog, along with loads of inspiration from our wonderful DT, and from our lovely and talented Guest Designer, Birgit from Crafting While I Wait (do go for a meander, you’ll so enjoy all the inspiration!).
My ranunculus are heading over to …
SSS Wednesday – Anything Goes
I’m playing catch up at the moment (waaaay behind!) … will see you soon in blogland! Thanks so much for coming by, your visits and comments are always a joy! Anita 🙂
I love Therese’s works of card art and I love ranunculi and I love all your designs, so … what I’m trying to say is I’m in love with your CASE of Therese’s card, Anita!! It’s gorgeous!! LYAMYMMA!! Hugs, Darnell
SO PRETTY! Love your style!
What a lovely card, Anita!! The coloring on the vellum is so pretty and I’m happy to see you let the edges be free. It looks amazing that way. I also really like the subtle strips of paper on the left side. The whole effect of the card is soothing and comforting. Wonderful work!
Well you’ve gone and done it, Anita … vellum flowers [of any variety] are my favorite! They [and you] know just the way to put on a curve! Gorgeous CASE – Therese is most definitely on my ‘favorite’ short-list … oh look, so are you! xx

Your flowers are gorgeous, Anita and I love how they’re curled up! Did you colour on the backside of the vellum? Overtime I try to colour on the stuff it ends up looking rather streaky…
Beautiful ‘curvy’ duo of ranunculi (no idea if ‘ranculi’ is a real word but I channeled my inner Darnel and created a plural version of ranunculus).
I love the dimension and ‘real life’ look that the water/velum mix created! The DP at the left edge – GENIUS idea – balances your design perfectly! Stunning card pal!
Love this delicate coloring & embossing on vellum. Aren’t you brilliant to take advantage of paper curl because it did indeed create such lift to your pretty flowers. Love the texture of the card base, and the scant borders…congratulations on being a highlight at CAS Mix Up too! TFS & Hugs.
Love your vellum, white embossed flowers – so pretty! Such a gorgeous card! xxx
I love the way the flowers curled, Anita. They are so soft and pretty. I have my card done. I did it right away when I saw the challenge time was shorter.
Flowers are so beautifully coloured Anita. Love the dimension from the natural curl of vellum with water … adds great dimension. Love it when that happens. I have not had good luck with colouring vellum with my zigs. I tend to be messy, so end up with colour all over the embossed design. You’ve done an amazing job, so I need to keep practicing. I’d be happy if mine turned out half as good as yours. xx
Love, love, love your take on Theresa’s card Anita! It is so soft and so beautiful. You always know just what to make and how to make it! I told Loll I needed to rub elbows with her so some of her talent could rub off on me, well I need to rub elbows with you too. lol Hugs, Brenda
Such a dreamy, soft CASE of Therese’s card. Love the detail on the side and color of those ranuculus. You know of my yellow addiction, so you also know those flowers are right up my alley.
Therese certainly is talented and she has the most soothing voice I’ve ever heard. I could listen to her videos all day…then take a nap.
Your card is absolutely stunning Anita, love those ranunculuses… (you know what I mean), these are one of my fave flowers for sure!
Wonderful case Anita…and actually lovely just on its own. I love those thin strips of patterned papers on the left side. Great touch.
Beautiful case of Therese’s stunning card, Anita! Gorgeous flowers!
I’m a huge fan of Therese, and you have done an amazing job CASE’ing her beautiful card! I love how you watercolored the Ranunculus flowers and leaves and stamping your sentiment in gray is the perfect touch! A really gorgeous card!

An elegant Case of Theres’s card. I have the stamp, which I love, but I have never made such an elegant card. The snippet of yellow on the side is a great touch. 🤓 Barb

You had me at vellum! And if that hadn’t worked, you’d have had me at ranunculus. I’m a total sucker for those beauties.
Colouring on vellum – one of my favourite techniques. So soft and pretty – the perfect accompaniment to the sentiment!

A stunning translation of Therese’s card, with vellum-and-water-colour ranunculus that are utterly gorgeous! Yet again, breath-taken-away with your ingenuity!
