Hello …. bonjour! We have a fabulous new challenge starting at Time Out today … our theme this time round is CASE The Designer … and our designer is the amazingly talented Julia Alterman from Just One More Card, who has given us a fun and whimsical shaker card to CASE (a little futher down). Here’s my take on it …
and here’s Julia‘s cutie …
The things that caught my eye here were the bright colours, that fun striped frame and the sense of movement about the image, so that’s where my focus went. I took a white card panel, stamped it with a scripty Mama Elephant sentiment in a gradient of colours similar to those Julia used (thank goodness for MISTI!), overstamped it with Versamark and clear heat embossed it to add shine. The panel was framed with washi tape (sent by my lovely friend, Joyce … thanks Joyce!), I added a sprinkle of sequins and popped the panel up on the card base.
What captures your creative imagination in Julia‘s card … the square shape, the whimsical image, the shaker element, any of the things that caught my eye? You can use any or all of the elements Julia used for your card … and when you’ve finished, we’d love it if you linked up to our gallery! All the details are over at the Time Out blog, along with loads of inspiration from our wonderful DT, and from our fabulous and talented Guest Designer, Jenny from Craftmosh (do go for a meander, you’ll so enjoy all the delicious CAS inspiration!).
My sweet sentiment is heading to …
SSS Wednesday – Make For The Border … my washi tape
You’ve heard it for the last few weeks so I won’t labour the point … suffice to say I’m still not able to spend very much time at all playing, visiting, commenting and returning emails … but I will! For now though, thanks so much for coming by, your visits and comments here are always a joy … you are all so appreciated! Anita 🙂

Love how your card is inspired by some of the elements on Julia’s card, Anita, but done with your typical CAS elegant style! Since that is such a beautiful sentiment – and beautifully created – I love that you made it the focus of your card.
Such a bright, cheery card! Love the colors!
Though I miss you dearly, I fully understand that we all have secret lives behind our cardmaking forays. What gets me it that each time to venture to make a card, it’s alway outstanding. This is a terrific CASE of Julie charming little scene. It has it all…the colorful border, the color gradient, the meticulous attention to detail. Wonderful work. I’ll leave you now so that you can get back to what you were doing. Hugs, mon amie.

Using that gorgeous scripty in those beautiful ombre tones is a genius CASE Anita! And I love the creativity of using washi for the frame (I never would have guessed it until I read it!) Love this card!
I am amazed of how well you can see the shimmer of the letters on your fabulous card Anita! I never think to heat emboss over ink! Thanks for the reminder!
Awesome ombre sentiment – love that it is so shiny! And the white and blue striped frame fits perfectly – would have never dared to do that…..
Wonderful non-shaker CASE of a shaker card, Anita! I love how your sentiment is the focal point but using Julia’s colour scheme.
Hello my friend. Hope summer has agreed with you. Just back from vacation and easing back into blogland. Thanks for your visits to my blog. I love how you’ve CASEd Julia’s card here. That sentiment is perfect to mimic a message written by a plane in the sky. Genius!!!
I am loving the shine and simplicity of this beauty! Hope you are well!
Gorgeous card, Anita! The embossing is glossy and beautiful1 The striped border is perfect for the card.
The blue stripes of the border set off the happy sunshine colors of the words that create this wonderful focal point of your pretty card. Love the gleam & shimmer too. Bright & fun CAS, that is just delightful to behold. TFS & thanks for the good wishes sent my way. Hugs
Love the bold sentiment font. The washi tape looks terrific. I am kinda behind in commenting so sorry if I have missed a post or two. Vacation time is drawing near and I have much to do. 🙂
What a great way to use the washi tape Anita – I may have actually found a use for my many unused rolls now! Love how you’ve done that sentiment..would liked to have seen how it would have turned out without the Misti!
This is gorgeous my friend! The colors, the shine… oh yes the sentiment!
Fabulous card Anita!!! The blend on the sentiment is brilliant and I really like how the font is similar to Julia’s card – script is always so pretty for sentiments especially when they are the main focus like your card – thank you for the kind words and for having me over at Time Out. I really enjoyed it!
awesome looking card…love all the colour blends…so pretty.
