Hello … bonjour! D’you ever find you just have to be creative or you’ll burst? I had a day like that at the weekend … and made a few cards … one of which I’m sharing here (rather quickly … I’m late and Mr Linky will be closing doors in less than an hour)! Want to see?
Quick, clean and simple … some Concord & 9th die cut flowers cut from a previously smooshed panel, each attached to the card just in the middle to allow the petals to curve upwards … topped with some sequins and enamel accents. The ‘love &’ sentiment is from Concord & 9th, the popped up ‘hugs’ is from Ellen Hutson … and I added a slender strip of the smooshed panel down the edge as a finishing touch.
Those delicious blooms and the ‘hugs’ are courtesy of my lovely card making, non blogging, met through blogworld friend Judith in the UK … who comes for a play day each summer when she visits family who live nearby (how’s that for a wonderful coincidence?). This last visit, Judith brought all kinds of delicious dies for us to play with, including these flowers … and left her (NBUS!) EH All Inside stamp/die set to have a holiday, though I had it working hard before it finally flew home via La Poste! Thanks so much, mon amie … it was great to see you!
I’m playing along at …
Ellen Hutson Mix Up – With Concord & 9th … first time playing and I’ve left it sooo late to post!
TE Share Joy – Sketch/Keep It Clean & Simple … I went CAS
CAS-ual Fridays – Dimension and Bling … both in my flowers
SSS Monday – At The Movies … daisy like blooms, so Driving Miss Daisy!
See you all soon … lots of lovely visiting to do still! Thanks so much for coming by, your visits and comments are always a joy! Anita 🙂
Gorgeous! I love those lovely flowers and the matching strip down the side! What a lovely friend you have too. xxx
So happy you got a chance to play with those very pretty flowers! Lovely card and how fun that you get a play date with your friend when she visits her family. Win win all around! Hugs! 🙂
Another elegant beauty, Anita! The slender strip is the perfect width to compliment the delicate blooms!
Bisous 😘
This is such a happy just-for-fun card, Anita, perfect for the last hurrah of summer and the first blush of autumn!! Your play dates with your friend sound such fun! We should do that again soon ourselves!! LYAMYTBSYS!! Hugs, Darnell
Yes, I so know what you mean! This is gorgeous light and airy! I bought this die during the flash sale and love it! Your visit sounds wonderful!
So simple and stylish as usual. Thanks for the kind words…I had a good time too. See you again next year.
Such a pretty CAS card. Anita! I love your yellow blooms, and the thin strip of yellow on the border is the perfect touch! So happy you had a chance to ‘play’…and meet the deadlines for the challenges!
You’ve chosen my two favorites – yellow and flowers- I adore this card Anita!
Anita that is truly the best time to craft, when you are in the mood and your creativity just flies!! What a gorgeous card, so glad you got it in on time!
Gorgeous card and those leaves are just beautiful! Doing a bit of catch up commenting today and the stop here has been all eye candy! xoxo
As you know, you had me at YELLOW but, strangely enough, these Concord and 9th flowers are my favorites of the moment, as well. So you’ve struck a deep and resounding chord here at my messy house. This card is tres manifique ( I probably butchered that, sorry.)
Sounds like a fantastic friend! Oh how wonderful to craft with others who “get it”! Those flowers are all sunshine and happiness! Such a wonderful card, Anita!
Isn’t it lovely when you can actually meet and enjoy some crafty time with a far-away blog buddy? How great that you were able to make these nifty sunshine-y flowers while your friend was visiting. This card just sings pure happiness and sunshine, and I like the free-flowing airiness of the blossoms not being totally attached. Yellow was the perfect color choice too! TFS & Hugs
What a fabulous play date! Hoping one day I’ll make it over to your part of the world. 🙂
Loving those gorgeous flowers and the little yellow strip down the side is the perfect accent!
So relieved to hear you didn’t burst but made this lovely card! Love these sunny flowers (die is on my wish list) and the matching strip finishes it beautifully!
That sounds so familiar! And glad you did create; this is a beauty! Hugs, Gerrina
Those blooms are so pretty and delicate – a perfect way to use those smooshed leftovers! Thanks for playing along at CAS-ual Fridays!
Wonderful burst of creativity. I have these dies and I love them. They look wonderful cut from these panel x
I love this! The layout, the yellow…love it! And yes, I can totally relate to the feeling of create or burst! lol. Judith sounds wonderful…a crafty friend you actually get to see…doesn’t get better than that…well, maybe if her visits were more than once a year, but still….what a treasure!
It is so wonderful to meet crafty friends IRL and have a play day. I have been lucky in that way too. Your card is wonderful, and so nice to see you just get to create for fun.
Such a bright & happy card with all those pretty shades of yellow. That flower die is lovely & perfect for using with leftover smooshed pieces. A really lovely card Anita!
I know the ‘create or burst’ feeling well and given the nature of my job (*meh*!) it’s happening with greater frequency. I’m glad you ‘burst out’ with this gorgeous card….love those C9 flowers, especially in pretty smooshed shades of yellow…
Hugs~c
Bursts of creativity – I love it! Especially when the outcome is as gorgeous as you show us here!
I am starting to miss my card room – have not made one in 1 1/2 weeks….I might get rusty…..
I love it Anita ! Si légère, si CAS et ce jaune est tout simplement magnifique ! Et toujours ce magnifique papier blanc. Hugs !
This is a stunning card that is both elegant and simple! I adore the clean white background paired with those lovely daisies! The color on them is amazing and the whole concept came together beautifully. And what a great tie-in to our theme! Thanks so much for sharing your talents with us for this week’s Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!
I’m hoping for one of those ‘gotta craft’ feelings to hit soon cuz I’ve totally ‘hit the wall’ in my card making world!
Your card is supercalifragilisticexpealidotiis (channeling my inner Mary Poppins!). I love the sunshine happiness of the free floating yellow flowers, which totally pop with the bits of black. Another sweet creation Anita!
